It was ok. There was a smell, maybe musty when we opened the door. The light over the sink was just about shot, not much light. If they were to put in new caulking in bathroom around the tub, it would certainly clean it up a lot. Wish the pool had of opened sooner, the kids wanted to swim, but it didn't open until 10 and we couldn't wait. The pool was the reason we picked that hotel. The frig didn't work and neither did the micro wave. However we thought it was a nice breakfast. Better then most we have had.

Staff was helpful. First room was a smoking room with no lights working on the entrance, heavily stained carpet, and a extremely noisy furnace. Second room heavily stained carpet, broken chair, door would not close from exterior without swiping key. Third room lights did not work, heavily stained carpet etc. Fourth room lights worked, key worked, furnace newer, stained carpeting, mattress really cheap, pillows flat, linens poor, remote for TV did not work. Very disappointed.

Plus side: Clean rooms, economical price, friendly staff. Down side: Security highly lacking, a lot of highway noise, outdoor access to every room, cat roaming on the 2nd floor (no joke), peephole that was wide enough to look INTO the room from the outside...scary.

It was close to the highway which made it convenient, but the description of the hotel said it was fairly new or remodeled which was far from the truth. It was OK to just sleep in overnight.

Front desk person was really friendly and accommodating. small room I was only there at night and stayed in a King size bedroom. It was a little small but was clean. I was a single person passing through and it was more than adequate for my use.

I usually don't take the time to write reviews...good or bad. But after staying at this hotel, I feel compelled to share my experience so that others do not waste their time as we did. The first room we were given (king size, non-smoking) had mold all over the bathroom. It was so bad that you could see fresh spores on the wall! The sink looked as if it hadn't been properly cleaned since the last guest(s) left. The door and surrounding walls were extremely filthy! We requested another room and were immediately placed two or three rooms down. This room appeared to be a little cleaner. The chairs were visibly dirty but that wasn't such a big deal because we never really use them anyway. While checking the bed for bedbugs, we couldn't help but notice a pair of ladies' underwear that had been left (since only God knows when) between the wall and the box spring. YUCK!!! Unfortunately, we decided to tough it out for the night as it was late and we didn't feel like going anywhere else. I wouldn't recommend that anyone stay at this hotel if you care anything about cleanliness! This place is absolutely filthy!!!

The Howard Johnson Inn at I71 and Morse was disappointing. The location is great, the staff is mostly friendly, but the physical property is poor. The hotel did not seem full, yet I was placed in a room on a corridor that was under repair. The walkway's concrete was crumbling and full of holes. Signs were posted, but I felt it was still a tripping hazard. Once in the room, it did not get better. The was no remote for the TV. The upholstered chair was missing a wheel, and thus sat crooked. Finally, the toilet did not work properly. I realise that I should have spoke with the manager; a change of room could have made the difference. Sadly, I chose this hotel for its cheap price, and I truly got cheap. I won't be staying again, which is unfortunate as the hotel location is perfect.

The staff is friendly. Pillows are flat and there were no extras, first room I was given smelled. I have stayed in this hotel on a previous occasion and it was ok, but on this visit the room I was given smelled so bad I had to ask for another and the only one available did not fit my preferences. There was a child next door that ran and jumped the whole night and morning and sounded like it was going to come through the wall. There were no additional pillows and the ones on the bed are flat, and the shower head was broken. I will probably not visit this hotel in the future.

No tv remote in room, was told they get taken all the time then were given one that didn't work. Bed was hard, pillows were flat. Overall quality of stay was very poor and I would not stay at this Howard Johnson again. Oh, and also no water presure in shower.

The hotel is right off the interstate - easy on and off. Adequate room with no frills. Lack of restaurants nearby.

The price was reasonable. The outside was a little run down. The rooms were clean and the service was good, but the area wasn't the best and the exterior of the building was a run down.

We had two rooms at the hotel for a Saturday/Sunday stay. The setup of the hotel is weird. Strong Smell of cigarette smoke in the hallways. In one room, no remote for the tv. Also, the chair had a broken leg. The other room, the water pressure sucked in the shower, it was either full blast(massage-two jet streams on your back) or pouring straight down and not evening touching you. The heater was new but didnt have any knobs on it. It looked like they painted the ceiling or something recent, because there was paint specks on the lights and wall. The wall was bubbling up in corners, near ceiling. The tv was not steady, you touch it and it would wobble. In the middle of the night, the phone was flashing orange that it had a messages and the messages were from June and August of last year and it was just the front desk leaving their phones on accidentally. Next morning for breakfast, breakfast ends at 9 am. Most people are just finally getting up at 9. For it being a Sunday morning and a lot more travelers on weekend, they didn't have any milk! NO MILK! They had cereal but no milk. We ask them about it and they said that they had somebody getting milk for them. We went down about an hour later when were checking out and they still didnt have any. There was a gas station right across the street, they could have ran over there real quick for milk. And trust me when you have kids they want milk. We would have went over there for milk but we paid for a continental breakfast. I do have to compliment them on having a waffle maker. Those were good. Take your chance here.

The included breakfast - waffles Outside elevator to the 3rd floor Good place for someone on a lower end budget. Nice for one night stays.

Only stayed for 2 nights (had a car). Good location next to I-71 and Morse Rd. strip-mall wasteland. Smallish rooms (standard, double bed, non-smoking) but good for 2 people. Newer AC/heater units.Very nice & clean free breakfast in dining area. Elevator to 2nd floor. Outdoor walk-ways a bit dirty and bedsheets not pristine, but room was clean and serviceable overall. Fire alarm was very loud as it was set off one night (cause unknown). Good value for $* a night when you can spend around $* for similar quality closer to town. Probably not a good place for airplane travelers needing to be downtown, though.

"Tub backed up while showering, smoke-smell in hallway of non-smoking rooms, cleared breakfast earlier than time scheduled or stood over shoulder while waiting, deactivated key cards and did not ask for ID when re-activated,melted ice left in buckets after housekeeping, "

nothing was the worst hotel i have ever stayed in staff was unprofesional and rude, room was dirty had called and requested two double beds, received one queen was told they would see if they had extra blankets so kids could sleep on floor. I checked out and paid double to stay at another hotel. Please don't send anyone else to stay at this hotel it was terrible. I will make complaint to Marriott. As a single mom it was quite a hardship to lose money i had already paid plus having to find another room.
