After being a long time resident of Burlington for almost 50 years, but recently relocated out of state, I was looking for a nice motel with a nice pool area where all the family could see one another and with activities for the grandkids. After reading that this motel had been remodeled, I thought I would give it a try. Upon arriving at the motel, the exterior of the building still needs work. Entering the lobby, I was impressed. The young women at the desk were very nice. I thought this was going to be okay until she told us that the pool was broke but they were hoping to get it fixed. After getting our keys we entered the pool area. It was very dark and cold. We headed to our room which was poolside. Opening the room, it looked nice but if you look close, you will find many problems. The bathroom was awful with very poor water pressure which changed as other people in adjacent rooms turned on their water. Even though we had a inside room, I had to put towels at the bottom of the room door to keep the cold air from coming under the door to keep the room warm. This is a very old building and needs much more done to it. Better insulation and more lighting is definetly a must. I am very sorry to say but It was a very huge disappointment for all of my family.

This place-never again!! Checked in, given a room that wasn't even cleaned or made up from last occupant(this was after 3PM), sent to another room, key cards didn't work in door, had to be recoded, room damp, water stained ceilings, musty-no luggage rack, or hanging space for clothes. Pool area very dark and gloomy-have no idea where they got the pool picture on website-must have brought in spot lights!!! Hot tub out of order. Returned to our room after an outing-key cards again didn't work-when leaving saw another guest actually standing at front desk whistling with his fingers trying to get someones attention-did this about 3 times, never saw anyone come. Trying to get any staff to help with anything, or even answer questions was like pulling teeth-got no print-out of bill, reciept , nothing when checking out-I think it was a maid that finally came to the front desk to see what we wanted. Horrible, horrible, horrible-will never return.

"Being next door to all the construction of the new casino/resort seems to have worn off on this place. Outside appearance still needs work, but the detail on the inside is terrific, bright, colorful, comfortable and plush."

"You could have knocked me down with a feather when I saw the lobby, the health club, interior pool area and the newly renovated rooms. Viva la difference!"
