Goodfor the accommodations. Location was located along with other economy minded hotels, not the greatest but not unsafe. Room was clean.

I was pleasantly surprised by the updated room and very comfortable bed. I was expecting less, but will definatly stay again if I am ever in Flagstaff.

The staff was friendly and helpful but the room was below average. The beds were terrible - just looking at them you could see high and low areas. The mattress must be over thirty years old it's in such bad shape and worn out. The motel is "pet friendly" but that's not good if someone is allergic to pet dander. We wouldn't stay there again.

The room suited our family perfectly! The bathroom could have been cleaner. Easy check in and check out! Great location! Perfect for my large family. Would definitely recommend and go back.

The hotel is OK for the price and in a good area. Our problem involved the fact that construction was going on at the hotel and the fact that they gave away our room prior to our arrival. We were going to be very late in our arrival, about 3 am, but the room was prepaid through Travel website. We called early that evening to advise that we would be late due to our train being late. On our arrival, the front desk clerk advised that he had given our room to a trucker. After checking if any room was available, they put us in a room, but not of the type that we had reserved. The second issue was the fact that there was construction going on at the hotel. At 7 am, the construction workers started work right outside of our room, obviously waking us up after a very short night of sleep. This room should not have been put into use during this construction. We contacted Travelocity and they transferred us to another hotel for the rest of our stay, but this Howard Johnsons Hotel refused to make up for our inconvenience the one night that we did stay there.

Check-in time was 24 hours, and that was great. The hotel locates right next to a railway, and was noisy all night. 24 hour check-in is convenient. Locates right next to a railway and noisy all night long. Breakfast is tasteless, cereal and low quality donuts. Wish they have a waffle maker.

Great hotel for the price and very spacious. There was a full size desk in the room and still there was plenty of room. It was right next to some fast food restaurants and was perfect for travelling through.

This was our first night on our vacation and we left our laptop in the room when we left the following morning. We didn't discover this until we had checked into our room in Tucson the next evening. When we called the motel to see if it had been found we were assured it had been locked in the office. Two weeks later we were able to retrieve the lost computer and other information intact. My compliments to the management and staff for their honor and integrity. This loss could have been a very expensive one. We will definitely stay here again.

Convenient and less expensive than others nearby. Towels very thin.

My husband and I needed to get away for awhile and our favorite place is Flagstaff. The staff was very attentive, the breakfast is really good and kept stocked frequently. The room was clean the bed was comfortable. We had a great stay and would stay again. There are several good restraurants close by, walking distance even.

personnel were very helpful. NA The personnel were very accomadating. We had left southern CA, at 3 AM. Arriving in Flagstaff at 11:00. We were exhausted. Check-in time was 3:00. There had been a sell out the night before. He told us to come back at 12:30, our room was ready. Very nice people on all shifts.

Trains weren't too loud with fan on. Room was large and comfortable and the staff was helpfull and nice. Breakfast only lasted until 9am and was very simple. Compared to the last place we stayed in in Flagstaff this was a much nicer, cleaner place and cost less.

The staff was wonderful! Needed more towels. The staff was above and beyond. Very helpful in every aspect. I would recommend this hotel for location to N.A.U. and area attractions.

The location was really very good. I didn't like that throughout our stay there was construction going on in some of the rooms. If you're looking for luxury or to be taken care of this hotel is not for you. Of course, when my boyfriend and I stayed here all we wanted was the cheapest place with the best location and that was exactly what we got!

Cleanliness, clean bathroom and large bathtub. Noisy heater, but it was tolerable. Definitely met my expectation. I just needed to stay a couple of nights as an accommodation for my trip in Grand Canyon. The room was large and clean enough. Nice bathroom and nice bathtub. The bed was ok, I could sleep well. Breakfast was doughnuts, bread, tea, coffee, orange/apple juice and cereal, which was fine with me. Considering the amount of money that I spent, I was very happy with this hotel.

Location. The beds were terrible. The beds were the worst I have ever tried to sleep on. My back was in terrible shape by the end of my week end. The Jacuzzi was next door at the other hotel and the bubbles didn't work because it would flood the room.

My mother and I stayed at this Howard Johnsons on our way to Sedona from the Grand Canyon. As a stopover hotel, our experience was just fine. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, the location was easy to get to from the highway and there were plenty of restaurants, groceries and gas stations in the immediate area. The owners also owned the hotel next door and allowed us to use the servies of both hotels. We didn't have time for the pool or jacuzzi but it was a nice option. The only issue is that the internet was down and I had to go next door for service. If you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs. There are train tracks nearby and that did wake me up a few times but wasn't too bad. It wasn't a five star hotel but it served our needs.

Really poor service room was dirty, heater did not work, room filled with smoke. Nothing. The service was horrible.
