Continental Breakfast was good. Wish you had yogurts. The rooms were on the small side. Had to walk past others staying in the room to get to bathrooms. Overall a plesant stay.

The hotels needs to improve on their properity as well as upgrade their rooms. The service and security are very limited.

For sleeping is the hotel ok. Further services is minimized. De breakfast can better. Not bad at all.

Jacuzzis in the rooms. The location is not good, very hard to find, did not get any help with my luggage, front desk is not friendly at all. Why not have escalators going up to the rooms, those are not even stairs, the carpet in the hallway is very dirty.

We stayed in hojo for the July 4th weekend and had a very bad experince. The room is very small and bad odour. Water stagnatio in the tub and very stinky restroom. Overalll its bad.

it was very easy to get to mid-town Manhattan which was my goal and I didn't have to spend the extra money to stay in a place in Manhattan. Thank you.

To tell you the truth, nothing really unfortunately. Really old, smelly, dirty, lack of space for complimentary breakfast diners, no complimentary safe in room (had to pay extra). This hotel is very old and dirty. This hotel is in need of major renovations. The cleaning service did an horrible job. There was so much dust and it smelled horrible when we entered the room. I immediately stopped to buy some bathroom detergents to wash the toilet and tub and sink myself! Even though it was a non-smoking room it smelled like smoke. A complimentary breakfast was offered, but not enough tables and chairs to accommodate guests. The hotel says to offer a shuttle service to New York City, but this simply means that it drives you to another hotel (still in Jersey) and you must arrange the service with the hotel (at a very high cost)! We do not recommend this hotel to anyone (especially not families with children) and we will never go back!

I traveled with my husband and mother to spend sometime with our family which we haven't seen in about 5 years. We didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel beside to sleep and that was it. I would not stay for any other reason. The lobby is far, the traffic is horrible. No activities. Breakfast was prepackage danishes and muffins. Our key got canceled for some reason or other on the third night we were there, we had to go back to the front desk to get it reactivated. When asked why this happened, no one knew. I don't believe I would stay there again, if I did I would make sure the trip was similar to this one. Just using the room to sleep. Also, beds were extremely uncomfortable.

As a child we often stayed at HJ because of the value and location. Well as a child we remember things differently. The room was dingy but clean. The staff was not helpful and English was not their first language. Any questions we had regarding anything in New York had to be asked to a computer. Even at that they were unable to provide information. We won't stay there again even though the price & location was right.

I realized at night that water was leacking from the ceiling. It was so bad. Thus, I do not want to make a hotel reservation using Orbitz any more.

Shuttle service to New York was good, the safe in the room was great & hotel staff helpful. The door did not shut properly, dirty bathroom, small room. For using the hotel as just a place to sleep it was good, but to have to spend any real time there I wouldn't recommend it. They need to hire all new cleaning staff, the towels had hair on them, there was hair all over the bathroom. I felt like I needed to wear my shoes inside the entire time I stayed. Bed was comfortable and the AC worked great!

I decided that instead of staying in Manhattan for a NYC sightseeing mini-vacation, I would try my hand at staying close-by in NJ, and commuting into the city each day. I was very pleased with my choice. I was simply looking for a place to comfortably and safely rest my head each night, and wasn't expecting very much more. As it was just my girlfriend and I, our simple to please and realistic expectations were more than satisfied. Albeit older, and motel style parking in front of your room, the room was respectable and clean, and room service was good. Your parking and rooms for the most part are located up a pretty steep hill, so this could pose a problem for the less physical or older guests. The bed was comfortable, and offered a cold clean fridge and micro, basic cable tv, and a clean bathroom. Sure, the rooms could probably use an update, but your not paying for an update, you're here to have a comfortable and safe place to rest your head at night. The staff was polite and friendly. NYC is only 25 mins or so away by bus! Continental breakfast was very good, and met my expectations, although the seating area to eat was a little cramped, the portions were not monitored, and well replenished. As you are looking at the hotel entrance, walk to you right, and then walk up the steep, yet walkable street to your left (10th Ave), to your NJ minibus stop across from the Coach House Restaurant, and for $2 each way, get dropped off and picked up until about midnight at the Port Authority Bus Terminal Gate 51 (close to Times Square). I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better value with close proximity to NYC.

The staff are friendly and the accommodation is commensurate to the rates. It may not be the best Inn but I liked it.

Convenient location for travel to New York city. Non English understanding staff and dirtiness. Was not aware at time of arrival that each room only to hold 2 people, even with 2 queen beds per room. Given key to a room that already was occupied. Opened rented cot to find garbage stuffed in between mattress. Difficulty communicating with the staff that did not understand English. Very frustrating. Continental breakfast was nice. Location was convenient for visiting NY city, without staying the city.

i must say this was just what i needed..i was not in the room that much since they have a shuttle right from the hotel to new york city.its just as they stated on the web site for this place..room was clean and the free breakfast was just what i needed before i headed out for the day.this is perfect for the weekend traveler its a place to rest your head at the end of the day.its also close to giants stadium .would stay there again

Good value for one night stay. Outside needs cosmetic work in some places. Convienent to major roadways. Would stay again.

The privacy. Room service took to long to respond to customer¿s request. I think if they attended more to there guest it could be a great hotel experience.
