The hotels distance to the falls was great. It was a nice 5 minute walk. I walk to the falls every morning before the kids woke up. The staff were really friendly. I thought the pool was nice and big, but the only bad thing was it taste like salt, YUK!!! My family and I did not stay in there very long (15min) I was very dissappointed since i have kids and that was my main purpose of choosing this hotel. FYI the water presure is very low. I don't thing it was hotels fault, because it was the same at all the rest rooms we went to. Overall, we had a wonderful time.

The room was a nice size. The beds was hard, the continental breakfast was terrible. Would never stay in this hotel again. The elevator was small and raggedy.

I was very upset with the Niagara Falls Howard Johnson hotel. The staff was courteous and helpful; however, the establishment itself was atrocious and in much need of repair. The walls were peeling, the ceiling was falling apart and worse the toilet leaked and the water pressure was none existent. To add insult to injury, when the shower or bath was run the area around the toilet became soiled. I asked the staff for another room but declined that one as well because it seemed to be in as bad a state as the one I had already checked into and moved in upon my arrival. Its location was convenient but due to its poor condition, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Arrived early & the staff was very accommodating! The area is in a decline. Overall, we had a great time here at this hotel. Atleast in comparison to where we stayed the following night.

the hotel was close to everything we wanted to see, it was good for the rate.

I took my mum (nearly 60) to Niagara Falls for the first time. We stayed here because of the location (I had stayed here before) and the cost. My mum has circulation problems and having an indoor pool and a sauna was awesome for her after a big day of walking the parks on both sides of the bridge. This hotel is clean. The staff is friendly. It is an old building and nothing flash but good value for the money we paid. The breakfast was unique. I personally found it difficult to eat anything -- I do not eat many of the foods (muffins, toast cereal) that were offered and found that the apples that I grabbed were not edible. It is about a block from the Rainbow Bridge (to cross into Canada via car/walk) and 2 blocks from the falls on the US side with the visitor information centre. Between the hotel and the falls you will pass the Niagara Centre as well. Denny's is across the street. Hard Rock Cafe is about 4 blocks away. There is a snow park across the road. John at the gas station across the street is lovely and VERY helpful. The casino is not too far either.

The staff was friendly and helpful with information on the area. Running toilet in the bathroom, not a romantic getaway hotel. This hotel is old and desperately needs a over haul. The room was large and had several extras( refrigerator, microwave, etc), but it needed some remodeling. The room looked old. We had a running toilet that my husband tried to fix and the shower head was small. We were also right next to the maintinance closet so we got to smell all of the chemicals in it and listen to the staff talking. We had a lovely view of the parking lot for our romantic getaway! Hotel was close and in walking distance to everything, including the heliport to the helicopter tour which was right next door. They served a continental breakfast in a very small room. I would not recommend this hotel for a romantic getaway, we were celebrating our 25th anniversary, and I wish we went and stayed somewhere else. The hotel was good enough just to sleep there. I would not stay there again.

Nice large room and great location. Able to walk to nearby attractions & casino (about 3 blocks). Front desk very friendly and housekeeping staff quite accomodating. Morning continental breakfast was small, but staff very nice. There was several dogs on site during our stay. Not a problem for us, but might be for some. Did not realize until after the reservation was made, that there was an extra fee of $15.00 a night for the 2nd person, which I thought was unusual. Would definitely stay again .......

Same hotel stayed at on honeymoon 2 years ago. The breakfast room is too small. This hotel was nice and we stayed in this hotel 2 years ago for our honeymoon. It's a good hotel for the price. The breakfast offered was good, but the room was small and crowded. It was a great hotel and will stay again.

we check in at 3 o'clock p.m. and rushed out to see a family member and came back at 11:00 pm. so tired that we went to bed right away but unfortunately we were not able to sleep because there are bed bugs plus the beddings are dirty and sandy (you can tell that someone slept on it already and the hoesekeeping just fix it a bit). we reported it to the front desk and to the manager we didn't even heard an apology for that. we are always in niagara falls area but won't check in to this hotel again. we're so disappointed that when we go to other places we won't even try to book or check in with another howard johnson hotel because it seems we developed a howard johnson phobia after that disgusting experience. i hope the top management of howard johnson will see to it that the housekeeping and customer service will be the top priorities of running a business like this.

None. Please do not take this hotel for the following reasons. 1. The hotel cleanliness is very bad. 2. No cleaning at all. 3. Breakfast place you can't even walk. It is so small; you willhate to eat there. The only advantage is close to falls but all other hotels are also close to falls

The rooms have just recently been remodeled. and they are very nice. the maids service is very good. anything you need they are good to get it for you. the only thing i found wrong with the hotel was that the pool has steps into it and it goes to 4 feet on the steps and then it goes to 5 feet and then reclines down. the only thing is i am a short person so i could not go into the 5 ft. area cause that is where the swimming starts, but if you are a good swimmer that is ok, but i am ok swimmer but not the best to trust myself to go deeper water. wished the pool had more of a 4 ft section. the people that work there are very nice and the accomadations are nice. thereis newly airconditioners and heat all in one so you can adjust it yourself. it was a nice stay. i had a hard bed but i also have back problems. but the person who went with me did not have a problem and well niagara falls on the american side is not that run down and there was plenty of places to eat. so that wasnt a problem. i have to say there was remodeling going on in the rooms that were vacant, but they are very quiet as to being very noisy. they were great there. they are remodeling and it is looking very nice there. no problems with our stay was worth the money. we had a beautiful view and that was nice too. they even had a refrigerator for us coffee pot and microwave. it was nice. and continental breakfast was good too.hope this helps.ihadreservations about booking this but i am glad i did.

This hotel has pros and cons. It is close to the Falls and park, however, this hotel needs to change the staff whole.

Free wireless internet with easy access. Room had an odor, non-smoking floor, but smoke was coming in to our room from another guest room. Decent location to the Falls (either side). A bit far from the casino. Needs remodeling. I was leery of walking barefoot on the carpet. Doesn't meet my criteria especially for the price. We usually stay in 3 star, but needed a pet friendly room. If this is 2 stars I would hate to see a 1 star room.

First of all, if your planning on visiting Niagara falls, do not stay on the American side. Nearly all of the attractions, and best views of the falls are on the Canadian side. We found ourselves driving over the bridge to Canada everyday to enjoy the activities, restaurants, etc. Each time that you do that, you have to go through customs agents who question you quite a bit. The American side is also very run-down. Many of the areas around the hotel do not feel safe. On the otherhand, we did not see any bad areas in Canada. The hotel itself is in very bad need of remodeling. I hate to say it, but it really is a dump. On the positive side, they do have free guest parking and the free continental breakfast is decent.

The room was clean and spacious with a good view of parking lot where cars are parked. While the hotel is older it is still kept clean - we would stay there again.

It was close to falls. Update bathrooms with exhaust or vent and provide clean towels with out stains. Towels are dirty. We have to ask for new towels due to yellow stains on towels. Bathroom needs update. You can see mould in corners. No fan inside the bathroom.
