Staff was friendly, but the hotel was extremely dated. The doors looked like someone had been banging on them with a hammer for the last 25 years, and the carpet looked even older (disco fever?). My parents stayed here for their wedding night before they left for their honeymoon 30 years ago. No improvement since. I bought a can of Sprite in the restaurant downstairs for $2.00, which I think is a bit much for a can. My last gripe is getting there. Thank God for the hotel shuttle from the airport. It took about 5 minutes, but I would never have found it on my own. Once again, the staff is courteous, the price for the stay is great, and it's good for a one-nighter before your 6AM flight out of Newark; but I wouldn't recommend a vacation based here.

Pleasant staff, room was clean. The lobby and hallways were filthy and smelled like cigarette smoke. I was able to book this on short notice, but I would not stay there again. While the room was clean and smoke-free, the rest of the hotel was very dirty and run down.

Noisy (hotels near an airport should have better insulated windows!), lamps without bulbs (and they didn't bring new!). Bathtub with water on arrival. Never again!!

Traveling with a group of 15 in eight rooms. All agreed the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The front desk was courteous. We would be happy to stay here again.

Shuttle service to/from the airport was great. Location was great for my two day trip.

Low price. Inconvenient location, expensive shuttle, nothing to walk to. The hotel is on an industrial road between two interstates, there is nothing to walk to. Also, shuttle to New York from hotel is expensive ($15 each way or $25 round trip), but shuttle to and from Newark Airport is free. The hotel has no pool or other amenities. There was also significant construction, drilling and furniture in the hallways. That said, it is cheap if that's your main criteria.

You get what you pay for. The front desk was not exactly friendly or helpful. I was thankful i did not need any of their assistance aside from checking in and out. The shuttle to and from the airport was on schedule and helpful. Their on-site food was excellent if not maybe a bit overpriced. The room was dark but ok. The sound of the planes was little distracting. The walls are thin so if your neighbor coughs you might just hear them or they you. Overall it was a positive experience if all you need is a place to sleep. Also keep in mind there is a fee for parking your car. I would recommend to anyone.

The only good thing about is this hotel is that it offers decent value of money in the New Jersery/New York area. The carpets in lobby and room were very dirty and the room had an awful smell. Would not stay in this hotel ever again. Even the luggage trolly had a flat tire.

The lobby was clean. No one who works there speaks clear English. The continental breakfast was a stale croissant and my choice of Orange juice or coffee.

We stayed for 2 nights from 26-28 Nov 2007. For the price we paid, I don't think the services and room were that bad. Room and bathroom were reasonably spacious. Beds are quite big. And we got the round floor so that's a relief. Restaurant is a bit small and menu's limited. But overall it's ok. Shuttle is frequent to and it's a bus, not van.

This hotel was a lifesaver as our original hotel messed up our reservation, instead of 2 beds non-smoking, we got one bed smoking. They would not change it and would not refund. I then booked the Howard Johnson last minute and got fabulous service.

Nothing. Bathroom was filthy, I cleaned it before I used it, it was late and I did not want to go to another hotel; it was snowing. Poorest hotel I have stayed in my life. And I am a flight attendant and stay in many hotels.

Almost impossible to find! It's on a dead-end service road. 15/day for parking that was not mentioned at booking! Desk staff not friendly. Clean rooms.

Overall it was a good experience. Recommended for people who wish to stay near Newark airport.

Close to airport, shuttle service to airport, restaurant, friendly service. Paint smell, just painted door, shuttle service didn't run close enoff. First impression, hotel clean, friendly desk service, room close to front desk. Noticed fresh paint smell as I found my room. But overall it fit my needs.

I didn't expect much; I was looking for a cheap place near Newark airport to arrive late, check my email, sleep, shower and leave early. And I got all that. Free shuttle to/from the airport leaves the hotel on the half-hour. If that's all you want, you won't be disappointed.Don't arrive late and hungry. The onsite "cafe" closes at 11pm. There is one vending machine in the whole place - a Snapple machine. Not so much as a candy machine in the place. There is no place within walking distance to eat - or anything else for that matter. Also, very noisy. My room was on the front of the bldg, very noisy, diesel engines idling frequently most of the night. If this bugs you, ask for a room on the other side.I would pay more to stay at the Holiday Inn, which is where the flight crews stay. Costs a bit more but equally convenient and much nicer.

Easy quick check, I was tired...prepaid through Orbitz showed my ID was slleoing in room 7 minutes later...no waiting around!

Convenient to Highways. Great rates. Clean including workout room. Too noisy due to airport.

i wasnt expecting the best, just something for the moment , beds could have been more comfortable, but i would stay here again.

The airport shuttle was terrible -- never following the schedule and the drivers were rude and ill-tempered. They did a job, but poorly.
