The hotel was dirty, the room and the hallways and the grounds. Staff was not friendly or helpful. This is a mild statement!

Room layout and furnishings were nice. Two early morning staff members left the lobby unattended to go shopping while I needed to check out to leave before meeting. The hotel was nice, don't let the neighborhood fool you. The staff got the job done, made attempts at being friendly, obviously real people with real lives. The location is superb for the price, I was able to get into downtown Cleveland and find parking in about 20-25 minutes. The room layout was nice and the atmosphere was fresh, not old or musty.

Trust me when I say this is not worth your money - I called and complained to the corporate Ho Jo's - I had to buy lysol so we could feel somewhat clean - I could go on and on but there is to much to tell - don't believe the pictures as they are not the same place the grass and scrubs are dead - I wish I could have switched hotels - but we dealt with it - we stayed gone and only came back to sleep for most of the days!

Would not take Trip Rewards as I booked with a third party. No receipt as I booked with a third party. Seemed like I was second class since I booked with Orbitz.

Affordable, clean. Long wait in the lobby. It's pretty much what you expect for the price. Can't complain.

From the moment of arrival, I was in awe and disbelief. The pictures on this website of this hotel were either doctored or taken from a completely different hotel because it was nothing like what I saw. The outside of the hotel was battered. The parking lot was brimming with potholes, (but there were about 10 guys standing in the middle of the road looking like they were supposed to be fixing them and not moving for cars). The lobby smelled musty and old. The front desk person was rude and did not greet us at all. We took the card key and carefully walked up the concrete steps that were crumbling under our feet. When we got to the room, I used the card key to unlock the door finding it strange that the green light did not light up, and went inside. Inside was an unmade bed, used towels on the floor, beer caps on the dresser/tv stand, a child's McDonald's cup on the table, a pen and some crumbled up paper on the floor, and a dirty shower and toilet. From the room phone, which I used a tissue to hold, I called the front desk and told them we were not staying and to immediately cancel our reservations. I told him the problem and he acted confused but agreed to let us go without a charge to my credit card. When we left the room, I shut the door and gave the knob a twist only to discover why the green light did not light up...the door did not lock! We went back down the deteriorating steps and took the card key back to the ignorant front desk attendant. I then asked if I could have the papers with my credit card number back and he was again confused as to why I would want them. He then took a pen and scribbled my credit card number out a few times, though, you could completely still read them with ease if you chose to, and told me that he cancelled the reservation. He turned the papers around and showed me that he wrote "Fam Emergency, Check Out". I asked him if he was going to write the real reason and he said he would talk to his manager...I think he was the manager...

Though the price was good at Howard Johnson, the comfort of the two inch matress was not that great. The hotel itself needed some work done to it, but again, for the cost not bad. We stayed two nights and again, would have been better off staying just one night.

It was very convenient to my training facility. Ihad trouble with he room key card every night. I was not expected too much from a Howard Johnson Hotel, and was leased with the quality of the room and the service.

Our room smelled, the towels felt like sandpaper, the carpeting was stained, the wallpaper was peeling, the paint dirty and chipped, large cobwebs hung from the ceiling, the drapes hung from one hook, the mattress was hard as a brick, the tv remote didn't work, the bathroom sink trap was missing and the light fixture between the beds was loose. Our second room smelled, had the same lousy towels, same nasty carpeting, wallpaper and paint, same hard as a brick mattress and the hair dryer didn't work. Security at night is non-existent. Our rental car was damaged while parked in the parking lot during the night. You couldn't pay us to stay at this hotel again. The only thing going for it is the excellent location.

The Howard Johnson Cleveland Airport was very accessible to the highway, although the hotel sign was too small to be readily visible and partially obscured by shrubberies and streetlights, so that we overshot the entrance the first time we approached it. Otherwise it was a quiet, convenient location close to the highway, which was our main criteria. The staff was polite and helpful.

Close to airport and room was clean. Access to upper levels was through an elevator linked outside. Some doors were locked to re-enter, despite having entry key, and more vending items. This hotel met all my needs. Winter in Cleveland and having to access the room in and out of the doors leading outside.

We didn't plan on spending much time at the hotel, so that made it an okay place to stay. We had to ask to have our room cleaned every day or it didn't get taken care of. The motel has seen better days...needs paint, new carpet in the halls and some general upkeep on the landscaping (weeds). The staff was friendly and tried very hard to make sure things were right. Not sure if they are short staffed...reason for lack of maid service or what. The pop machines never did work and you have to go all the way down to the lobby to get ice.The pool was clean and well taken care of.The motel is close to major interstate systems so it makes it convenient to get to a variety of locations.

It was very affordable! The light over the sink was very dim and needed to be changed. It was very affordable and convenient to the Cleveland Browns Stadium, I just wish the light would have been changed before our stay.

I was so extremely dissapointed with this hotel that I almost refused to stay in it. The hallways looked like they had never been swept and I could not even see the bottom of the four foot deep pool. The bedroom was not swept until the second night of my stay and done poorly at that. There was a great deal of mold in the bathroom and every towel seemed to be stained. The service was poor even though the employees were friendly and the whole place had a mildew like stench. I would sooner pay a much higher price then EVER stay in a place like this again.

Was extremely helpful in trying to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The morning clerk did not even try and do her job, would not refill breakfast bar, poor service. I traveled to Ohio from Indiana to attend an important meeting with my attorney, I was tired and just needed some dinner and rest. The hotel manager gave me a room that had broken towel rack, the metal bars were laying on the back of the toilet (I took pictures of room) the bathroom was not cleaned and was given 1 roll of toilet paper that was half used. There was not enough towels, no iron, trash in the cans and spiders crawling on the bed. I had to take Clorox wipes and scrub down the room before I could even set my stuff in there. There was dirt up and down the curtains filthy! The door locks looked like they had been pried loose and not even in working order. I talked to the clerk and he was as helpful as he could be but I was not offered another room during my stay. In the morning I attended the breakfast bar to which there was no coffee made and the desk clerk informed when asked that they were out of cream cheese for the bagels. It was pitiful! I would never stay at this hotel or another Howard Johnson in the future.

"We stayed here for one night. It was a 5 minute drive from the airport. Outside has been renovated, lobby is fine, free breakfast is good. All worth the low price we paid. Just the interior rooms aren't ""new"" looking. "

The price. Ice machines were broken! Pool was dirty and cold! Price was good! Pool was cold! Nothing fancy but good price so it was average time.

"I was extremely disappointed in my stay here. There was what looked like a bloody footprint on the carpeting, mold in the bathroom, no hair dryer or iron (as advertised). Took over 10 minutes for desk clerk to come to counter. Cheap rate but not worth the poor service!"

Friendly staff, decent breakfast. Bad smoke smell in non-smoking room! Scary! When we first pulled up, there was a woman from housekeeping taking a smoke break right outside the room she was cleaning. It was no wonder that our non-smoking room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The door had been pried open at one time and no one had bothered to get the door fixed. There was a lot of bad and very little good. The front desk clerk working the morning shift was a glimpse of sunlight for the place. She was very nice and was well dressed. She looked and acted like she took pride in her job. Overall, I would not recommend this facility to anyone that I know. I think with some personnel changes and some repairs, you would have a place that I could recommend to people I know going through Brook Park.

"The room was very small. Cheap rate though. Great service, bath tub had mildew in it."
