Great location... not a far walk at all from the big touristy attractions, and the walk to the falls wasn't much further... my 2 and 4 year old were able to make it (with a few breaks) without a stroller The staff was very nice and friendly. The room was clean, and had a little extra room to move around (which is a big plus if you have little kids)

Much to our surprise the hotel was overpriced like every restaurant in this "tourist destination". There will not be a return to NF in the near future.

The hotel was at a great location as far as attractions, shopping and dining. Just that you had to pay for parking (a minor detail). The staff was very courteous and assisted with any questions and didn't act as if they had probably heard these same questions hundred times before. The room was clean. i would recommend the Howard Johnson's by the Falls to anyone.

Nice place, decent facilities, pity there was no fridge in the room, decent 3 star/average 4 star hotel, conveniently located for the falls and major attractions, with the excellent "Screamers" haunted house just across the road- highly recommended for a hilarious yet pretty scary experience!

POSITIVES: 1. VERY convenient location - walking distance to almost everything. Short walk to (overpriced) attractions, shops, and any kind of food imaginable. 2. Easy to find from the road. Clearly marked even amid all the lights and tourist distractions. 3. Clean rooms. 3. Fun pool for the kids - with a slide and half the pool is indoors, and half outdoors with a "tunnel" in the wall between. 4. Spa was SOOOOO relaxing after the walking and marathon shopping. 5. Sauna was nice too, if that is your thing. A little too hot for me personally. 6. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a small medical problem while there, staff gave good directions as to where to get what was needed. NEGATIVES: 1. Don't bring any vehicle higher than a standard height SUV. We BARELYmade it in to the parking garage - literally 2 inches to spare with a standard Ford Explorer. 2. Really could have used a mini-fridge in the room. The little chinsey ice bucket doesn't hold nearly enough to keep anything. Would have liked to keep snack foods cold so as to not have to buy high priced junk on the street. 3. Don't expect to find any take out beer in the immediate area. Easy to find a bottle with dinner, but no take out close by. 4. Internet kiosk (if that is what you want to call it) takes $2 for 2 minutes, and did not allow access to anything anyway. Wanted to check e-mail, but couldn't get past the welcome screen. 5. Very few channels in room TV, and most were fuzzy. 6. Our room overlooked a night club. Noise was a little disturbing later at night. 7. Room AC seemed to struggle to keep room only moderately cool.

We stayed at this hotel because it was within walking distance to all major attractions in Clifton Hill area, which was great. The carpet in the room was filthy dirty, I didn't even want to take off my shoes and the beds were kind of hard. My major complaint was when the hairdryer kept shutting off after about 30 seconds and I would have to let it cool down, then try it again. I called the front desk to ask for another hairdryer and they said they would send one up. After 10 min. or so a maintenance man came to my room and told me they were made to do that and to use it on low. If it still shut off, then he would bring me another one. Are you kidding me?!!! It would have taken me half an hour to dry my hair and any woman knows that a hairdryer is not to shut off after 30 seconds of use. The pool was very small and not well kept up. The water was very low and needed filled up about another foot.

Nice Jacuzzi and the staff was responsive and friendly. No breakfast offered. no refrigerator/microwave in room. I liked it. great location. clean. should have had breakfast offered. should not have had to pay for parking. Nice and friendly staff who were responsive. Comfortable room. Air conditioner could have worked better.

let me begin with this, when we booked through travelocity we booked 2 queen size beds, we needed these queen size beds to accomadate the larger quests we had in our room. when we arrived we realized that the beds were double, we notified the front desk, but they didnt have any available rooms in our hotel. the hotel has a great indoor/outdoor pool, the staff were very friendly and helpful. this hotel sits right in the middle of everything.

Me and the hubby stayed here for a couple of days to see the sites and do a little gambling and we had a wonderful time. The place was well priced and the staff was extremely freindly and helpful during our enitire stay there, it was also reccomended to us by a freind who stayed here last month and they also said they had a great time. The hotel is perfectly located so your are near everything to do in Niagara Falls. We will definately be back and we would highly reccomend this property to family and freinds.

The Howard Johnson at Niagara Falls was about what I expected for the rate. This is an older hotel and could use a little remodeling. The beds were comfortable and we had a balcony with a sliding door we could open. However this was not offered at the original rate. The staff at this hotel was wonderful. I found everyone to be very eager to please. We had a problem with our tv and controller and they had a maintenance man up immediately to correct it. There is no restaurant in the hotel and no continental breakfast but the Denny's is right next door and there is a small coffee shop with a Pizza Hut and a Baskin Robbins shop connected to the hotel lobby. There is also a TGI Friday's directly across the street and a steakhouse called The Keg about a block down the street. Most of the newer and fancier hotels are a little south of the location of this hotel but it is right in the middle of everything with a shuttle to take you down near the falls and also to the casinos. I would also like to mention to anyone considering traveling to Niagara Falls, there is no place to park in this town near the falls area that doesn't charge a parking fee. Even the hotels charge to park. So be prepared to pay for parking everywhere.

Location was great, easy walk to dining and attractions. Didn't have to move our car. If you are looking for a reasonable cost, clean hotel and close to the Falls and attractions, consider this one. Met my needs. Rooms were large.

Location. Outdated and not clean. The hotel lobby was inviting, however, the hotel itself sorely needs updating. There were cigarette burns in the carpet and a not-so-pleasant smell to the room. We stayed in the same hotel 17 years prior and not a thing (except the updated lobby) has changed, including the red one piece tub unit. Give the rooms a facelift.

Hotel staff extremely nice! Our son loved the pool, my husband the spa. After a day of walking, the spa felt good. Rooms are neat and clean. If you get a balcony room in front, be prepared for ALOT of noise when you have the sliding glass door open.
