They have an outstanding free breakfast for the whole family, everything from home made waffles, cereal, muffins juice & muffins. Housekeeping knocked on the door at 7:30am to clean the room. Conveniently located with several fast food restaurants close by. Staff is very accommodating and has the information available immediately. More than happy to furnish shampoo, razors, toothbrushes, comfort items that were forgotten.

"We eventually did not stay here, because the neighborhood didn't feel comfortable, the pool was out of order, staff was oke. Would not recommend this motel in Williams."
Date of Stay:
February, 2009
Located close to I40, friendly staff, large room. Perfectly clean. Breakfast was less than continental. Functional, clean, friendly staff, best bed in 2 states (pillow top) good water pressure in shower, quiet, easy to get on and off the road.

We booked this expecting a better class of motel. This was definitely not the case.Furnishings were tired and seats of chairs in the room and breakfast area were soiled. Continental breakfast was a joke, consisting of two types of mini doughtnuts and cereal which were not replenished.Orange juice was undrinkable and the coffee was cold and weak. All the food was taken away by 9 oclock dead.We were charged $1.50 for the inroom safe whether we used it or not. Pool furnishings old and tired and hot tub was not hot. For the price we felt very overcharged.

Location to Rt 66. Dirtylaundry on floor in stairwells and hallways was horrible. We had just stayed at a HJ in SD at the sameprice that was fabulous and this one in no way compared. The maids left all thedirty laundry laying in the hallways on the floors. The lighting in the rooms was horrid. It was clean, but everything was worm and old. Needs to be updated. Could notget addtl tea and cups. Tried to speak to maid and they ignored us. Only good thing I can say is that I liked the location. Williams in nice and Rt 66 is there and close to Grand Canyon about an hour away. Nice drive. Flagstaff would have been a better choice for hotel, but this was closer.

"When I spotted the name Howard Johnson, I expected a pretty nice place. I was disappointed. The continental breakfast translated to a few mini-donuts, two types of cereal, milk, coffee and juice. We had to ask for coffee for the in room coffee maker only to discover it did not work. The weather channel, important when considering hiing at the Grand Canyon, was the only channel on the TV that did not work. We had significant problems communicating with the front desk staff. I certainly will not stay here again."

The kindness of the staff. There was nothing I didn't like in this hotel. Very good location to go to the grand canyon, very nice staff, very clean. I would recommend it and I would go there again.

Location. Unfriendly staff. Didn't have the iron or the board, no coffee machine, when asked the staff about this, they had no idea and said to wait for the manager, we got the stuff the day we were leaving, most disgusting was the promised continental breakfast (store bought packed donuts).

Clean, refrigerator, microwave, and iron. Had to request shampoo & conditioner. This hotel was better than I expected for the price. It was well-kept and comfortable. We didn't spend much time in the room, but it had a microwave and refrigerator in addition to the usual hair dryer, iron, and coffee maker. We did have some souvenirs stolen from the car one night (I had forgotten to lock it). I would consider staying there again if I could not get a good priced hotel closer to the Grand Canyon (it's an hour). We walked to town to eat at night. Very close to good food (Pine Country, Red Raven, and Route 66 Cafe).

Easy to find, within walking distance downtown, indoor pool. Noisy refrigerator I had to unplug it. Good clean well kept basic hotel.

Close to the Grand Canyon. The train crossing was very close, the carpets were filthy. Not a place I would stay at again. Quite a few more hotels in the area.

It's location. The management was more insulting than friendly lamps didn't work. It's good for the money and location, don't expect much for the continental breakfast nor expect the staff to be too friendly.
Date of Stay:

The location of this hotel is very convenient to the interstate. The hotel seemed like too much family-run, not much professionalism. The hotel location is nice. I was hit with an extra person charge, which quickly showed how the hotel was out to make money. The pool was dirty and the hotel was overall pretty mediocre at best.

The manager was friendly. The hotel manager was very friendly. I got ripped off. Also there was no elevator. We were put on the second floor and had to carry our entire heavy luggage up the stairs.

Easy to find. Needs remodeling. Here is the big problem I had with this experience. We paid about one hundred dollars for out room. Talking with one of the guests, he paid sixty eight dollars, and another fifty eight dollars. Neither of these two had reservations; they just walked in off the street!

Granite countertops in bathroom. Vanity separate from toilet room, unfriendly check in, outside needs paint is a little dingy looking. Check in lady had thick accent, hard to understand & not very friendly more robotic. The outside looked dingy & could use some paint, & not really a nice area.
Date of Stay:
June, 2007
It was cheap. No wide TV channel selection and uncomfortable bed. This was definitely a 1 star hotel. The cleanliness was probably a 3 stars hotel, but the quality of the hotel was 1 star. Make no mistake because it was a cheap room. If you decide to make loud noises at night, your neighbors will hear you.
Date of Stay:

Clean room, close to train station if you plan taking train to grand canyon. Front desk assistant not very friendly, man was very pleasant. Great price, clean room, very close to train station, and drive to grand canyon.
Date of Stay:
December, 2006
Large room. Powdered doughnuts are not a breakfast. If all you want is a room that¿s passable, this will do for you - no other amenities to speak of.
Date of Stay:
November, 2006
The room was very clean. Provided item such as frig, coffee maker, iron, and in room safe were welcome value added bonuses. The person that was on duty when we checked in, while very efficient was not very friendly. Not a big deal, just odd in a small town. Over all I would say we were very pleased and will certainly stay there again.
