The hotel served a purpose. I was in Wicita to attend the funeral of a close friend, The hotel was very close to the highway I need to get there.
Date of Stay:

Cheap, close to main streets, comfy. Broken bathroom door. Just overall not very good up keep. Good hotel for the money. Need to improve the up keep. The bathroom door has big cracks in both sides looks like someone fell into it or go pushed into it.

bad location, poorly trained staff who couldn't even provide directions to the hotel in english, disgusting rooms with moldy shower curtain. don't stay there in summer because apparently the a/c doesn't work and just sucks in the humid air from outside. it says "pet friendly" but that means they'll be friendly to your pets for an extra /pet. this place is a dump- spend a few extra dollars and stay somewhere else!

This hotel was great. Clean rooms and extremely convenient to airport and many stores. Would definately stay there again.

Location was good for restaurants and the business I needed to conduct while in Wichita. Stale odor. This hotel is definitely good for the business traveler on a budget.

We had a reservation, having booked through online travel website. When we arrived, all the rooms with our requested requirements had been taken. The front desk said they would put us on the second floor, but there was no elevator. For reasons I will not go into here, I cannot go up and down stairs, especially with luggage. We were offered a "handicapped" room on the first floor and we accepted. The halls and the room were dimly, depressingly lit, the place was old and seriously needed updating. The breakfast was adequate, but there were only three tables in the very small breakfast room, and most people either had to eat standing up, or try to juggle food to take back to their rooms to eat. The worst offense was the morning after we arrived we got a phone call from housekeeping telling us we had to leave the room so the housekeepers could clean. The housekeepers were outside our door, and their "rule" was that all "stayover" rooms were to be cleaned before ANY "checkout rooms" could be cleaned. We had arrived past 1:30 the night before -- they knew we would be arriving that late, but they awakened us at 10:30 anyway. When I asked if they could do some other rooms because we had arrived late and were not out of bed yet, they very rudely stated "I said that stayover rooms must be finished before checkout rooms can be started." There are better places to stay in Wichita - surely!

Bathrooms were somewhat small and cramped but very clean. Rooms were spacious and motel was close to shopping and very conveniently located to the airport making it easy to find.

The mattress was excellent, the room spacious and beautiful. Dirty floor, peanut and dirt between the sheets, it had been used before us. I leave a tip for hotel/motel maids, because I was one in the first year I was married. I didn't this time. We were more than impressed with the hotel until crawling into bed, when I found a peanut at knee level, then looking closer, dirty places on the bottom sheet. Looking around, the bathroom was less than clean, and there were pieces of candy along the base of the bed.

I had to go home for my grandmothers funeral, and the price of the hotel plus the flight was cheaper than just the flight alone. I got to the hotel, and my room was supposed to be for 2 queens smoking, which I did not want. So I asked if they had a non-smoking single queen available. The clerk said they had a kitchenette avaiable, and she wouldn't charge me for the upgrade. All the employees were pleasant while I was there. The hotel was pretty clean, and my room was nice, large, and the kitchenette even had dishes for me to use. It made a difficult trip easier. The only thing that bothered me was how smoky the hallways and main hotel smelled. Need to rethink mixing smoking and non-smoking rooms. Oh, I used the guest laundry facility, which was clean. There are several easily accessible restaurants and shopping facilities. The only other issue is it was hard to find the correct turn off from the interstate.

I found the hotel to be great.

Bath tub was dirty. Stains on the box spring. Loose tiles on floor. Ok for a one night stay. It was not what we expected from. It felt more like a Motel 6 which probably would have been cleaner. It was disgusting to have black stains in the tub, and who knows what on the walls. One lamp shade was stained very distinctively. The bed was not very comfortable. I would not stay there again. A very big disappointment.

I stayed here and will never stay again. Being disabled I was in great pain to walk up the stairs due to no elevator. Overall I was disappointed with the experience.

the room was large. The bed had was not comfortable. The blanket had many holes. The towels are very worn. The bathmat had a big hole. All in all it was not was not a good stay.

It was convenient to highway. The linens had holes, there were bugs in bathroom, two lamps didn't work, vanity faucet was wobbly. We did not expect a luxury hotel, but we did expect to stay in a room that had no bugs, decent linens, and functioning basics like lighting.
Date of Stay:
October, 2008
The room offered clean, comfortable surroundings with a refrigerator and microwave. The continental breakfast area was well organized, clean, and offered nice variety of healthy choices for breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Nothing. The hotel was so dirty! This place was nasty. It was so dirty.

The Howard Johnson on west Kellogg is quite convenient to the airport. For the price, the hotel was better than expected. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet. It would be nice if they ran a carpet cleaner in the rooms.
Date of Stay:

The motel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was not as clean as it should be. It was a good place to stay. I was able to leave my car there and did not worry that something would happen. The breakfast was good, selection was more than I expected.
Date of Stay:
April, 2008
I would give it a 1 1/2 stars a little run down. Right next to a busy freeway
Date of Stay:
January, 2008
The staff working behind the counter was nice. I have no complaints. I have to admit, my expectations weren't very high. Vie stayed at places that were more expensive per night, and still were not as well kept as this place.
