Great place to stay at a very affordable rate. Thankfully they got rid of the loud bar that was in the hotel, this was the only thing wrong with the Howard Johnson Brampton location on previous stays. This Hotel is situated in an area that is a 1 to 5 minute walk to many great restaurants like "the Birch and Beaver" and "Canelli's" I'll be back on my next business trip !

I stayed in this hotel for three days.Overall it was a satisfying experience. The Breakfast was good.Service was good. I look forward to staying there next trip.

Location. Hotel was OK, elevator was very slow and noisy. Breakfast place was not clean and they removed the breakfast items while people were eating.

The staff were really awesome, very helpful. For the money the rooms were bigvand clean plus they had a great little business center.

It seemed as if there were many people at breakfast time, but there was always enough food. They advertised a hot breakfast. There was only cold cereal, bagels, doughnuts and bread. The orange juice was warm and the coffee was lukewarm. However, the staff was really friendly and sent us to three good restaurants within walking distance. We asked for decaf coffee and the night attendant chased some down for us, so we could make coffee in our room. The rooms were large and clean and ours had a couch and chairs. The maids were friendly and co-operative.

Location. Breakfast and staff were lousy. I was very disatisfied with the level of customer service with the staff of the hotel. They were very unfriendly and uninviting. They were more concerned with administrative stuff than with the customer. Breakfast was lousy.

stayed a few nights for both business and pleasure, nice big clean rooms and kind staff, breakfast was great, could not have asked for more, best part of hotel is rate and location !

I got really good vibes from the hotel employees. Parking lot was comparable in size to my driveway. It's in Brampton. near a Taco Bell... and one of the best Burger Joints in a 100 mile radius.

Had a very pleasant stay, rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff was nice, especially housekeepers. They have a hot waffle breakfast which was great and the business centre is top notch, my only issue was I wish the fitness centre had free wieghts, it only has a few machines. For the rate I paid, could not have asked for more, will stay there again forsure.

Parking right outside the front door! Fast food bag of garbage left outside my room. For the star level assigned, it was appropriate. It was clean and offered everything I needed. Nothing spectacular, but not a rundown motel. A neat, clean place to wash up and sleep.

I usually stay at another hotel when I come to Toronto/Brampton on business, unfortunately for me, as much business as I have given the other hotel, they overbooked my specific room type (eventhough I booked it) so I checked online to look for a similar and close by hotel, which happened to be the Howard Johnson. They have now earned my business, they upgraded my room for free (to a deluxe suite), when I told them what happened, eventhough they seemed to be full. They have an absolutely amazing business centre, the kind you would expect from a 5 star 1000 room hotel, which helped me out quite a bit, the staff were off the chart when it came to going out of their way to help me when it came to directions, recommendations etc. The suite was obviously very large and Most importantly exceptionally clean. The breakfast was more than you can ask for considering the rate, and the breakfast area was awesome (like a cafe from france). Best of all was the location, very busy area, with lots of restaurants and stores within walking distance which may not be for everyone. Very impressed, still can't believe the rate I paid - look forward to coming back !!!

Comfortable. The shower control was a little weird. Clean, fairly friendly staff.

For the price I paid, this was the best value hotel I have stayed at. Wonderful breakfast, great staff and most importantly BIG comfortable and CLEAN rooms - a million restaurants and shops within walking distance - Will most definately be back when I am in the Toronto area again !

The room was in order but needed repairs. The hotel was dirty not from lack of daily cleaning, but from being old with ground in dirt. I was not pleased with this hotel. The building was old and there was in need of a lot of repairs. The ceiling in our bathroom was broken. Our first night the elevator did not work and we had to walk up 5 flights of stairs. The staircase was very dirty and in need of cleaning. The halls had an unclean odor.

Decent room. The drugs, the drunks and lack of wifi. I work with technology for a living and needed to connect to a client site between 1am and 5am. This was a problem because wifi was only available in the lobby, not in the room. As I headed to the lobby I found that my doorway was blocked by a sleeping person! (Yes, sleeping in the hallway!) It took several calls to the front desk before the police arrived an hour and a half later. Stay away from this place. There are several other places in the same price range in the area that will serve you better!

I was dissappointed by this hotel. The parking lot was not cleaned-and the first start to my trip was falling on the slippery ice. I was black and blue for the entire week. Room service was not not friendly or customer-oriented. They cleaned on their schedule and were not flexible. The front desk personnel was okay.On New year's eve night- some new customers came to my floor-about 20 teenagers booked into 2 rooms to celebrate the new year. There was screaming, drinking and banging on the walls till morning. I could not sleep. These celebrants should have been put on separate floor. All in all I won't stay there again.

The price was right on but it is not a 2 star hotel. The mold in the bathroom stains on carpets, dirty windows. You get what you pay for at this hotel! The overall hotel had a unpleasant aroma from the time you leave the newly remodeled lobby, till the time you reach your room. The room carpets were stained, bathroom had mold in the wall tiles, dirty floors, not enough tp, a faucet that would shoot water all over you because of the sink becoming detached from the wall. Stayed in a smoking room so there were stains and burns all over the bedding. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless the only thing they cared about was price.

The other reviewer who mentioned "fantastic stay" probably lives in a shack. I'll start my experience from arrival. I booked for 1 week. The location is far from perfect but the price is okay. The hotel is hard to find. The sign is on top of the building and if you're driving, you won't probably see it. The building is next to Taco Bell and Hooters. How about that? Okay, so I found it finally, parked the car, got in and spent 15 mins. whilst a sleepy receptionist tried to find my reservation. Upon arrival on the floor, I noticed that the whole hotel stinks. There's just such stink to it that I cannot describe. It's not that I'm picky or my nose is too sensitive, it just stinks. Then there was a light broken in the room. I mean no light at all. Switches didn't work. They changed the room all right. First day was all right but for the fact that one neighbor listened to RAP so that everyone else could "enjoy" it, another room produced BSDM noises, if you know what I mean. Take a look at the public that stays there. At breakfast, I witnessed, young rapper couples who gave me strange looks, then a huge group of noise Russians. I had an opinion that some use this property for an hour or two, if you know what I mean... The next day, I received a dirty stinky towel with a HOLE in it. Can you believe that? Not staying there again, that's for sure.

Queen size beds were very comfortable to us. The parking lot was not clean. Queen bed and good breakfast were very good. My family enjoyed there. However it needs to clean the parking lot.

i am usually not one for reviews, but i felt obliged to let others know about the wonderful stay i had. for the rate i paid (which was amazing) i could not ask for more, the staff were great, always smiling and helpful, most importantly the rooms were huge spacious and clean!!!, and the brerakfast was fantastic (4 different cereals, bagels, toast, fruit, 2 types of dessert, usually muffins and danish etc) the only negative was there was no pool which i could live without. overall an amazing stay, something you would expect from a 4 star hotel. location leaves it completely possible to stay there and not have a car as everything is on the door step. will most definately be back !!!
