We booked this hotel as a mid-point overnight stay for a 2 day drive home from Myrtle Beach. It was very conveniently located from the highway, mall, food, shopping...everything we needed. Being fairly new the place was simple but very clean. The double rooms had queen size in stead of full beds which was a plus. Our remote didn't work and they brought a new functioning one within 10 minutes. Much nicer and cleaner than most places we have stayed in that price range.

The hotel was clean I thought it was supposed to have a jacuzzi but could not find one. Upon check-in I found out that there was an extra charge for an in room safe that I didn't need. The manager was eager to collect the money but too busy to write out a receipt. Told me he would have it ready for me later but that never happened.

Hotel was in a good location. Continental breakfast was sparse, but there are places to eat close by.

The Howard Johnson was convenient to everything, food stores, dining, shopping and also I95. The room was large, nicely appointed and very clean. It aslo had both a small refrigerator and a microwave which we like. An iron and ironing board were also provided. The staff was friendly and helpful. A continental breakfast was included, few choices cereal, bananas, bagels, toast, juice, tea and coffee- but enough for a light breakfast.
