Unfortunately, nothing seems to have changed since the previous reviewer was there in 2006. I was there over the Christmas holidays. Dirty. Torn wallpaper in the hallways. No room service, even after multiple requests for towels. In a stay of 4 nights, we were granted a total of 4 towels/washcloths. Room service never entered the room to make beds, clean bath or vacuum, but apparently someone entered to turn off the heat every day after we left as when we returned the temp inside wasn't much better than the 30-some degree temps outside. They attempted to charge us for an extra night, pretending they thought I was to check out the following day although reservations explicitly stated checkout date and I also reiterated checkout date when I checked in. A bell at the front desk alerted the desk personnel when someone needed attention - and the desk personnel would stick her head out of a nearby guest room and holler "May I help you?" Hands down the worst experience I have had while traveling. If the price had been low, I could have swallowed the poor conditions a little more easily, but the price was not even what I would consider "cheap". I give it a "1" in all categories only because there is no means on this site to award a "0".

I'm thinking. Things did not work in both rooms - mattress spring stuck out and was dangerous Of the many places that we stayed on our trip this was the worst. The smell of smokers on the second floor was terrible. Lights in both rooms had to be fixed or at least plugged in. No exhaust fans in bathrooms. Mattress spring stuck out on the side of the bed and was razor sharp and scratched my wife's leg. There is no elevator! So, you get to carry your entire luggage up the two flights of stairs. I would not stay there again.

Excellent for Handicap patients. Finding the exit to the Hotel from I-40. Not on lodging sign. Was comfortable and clean. My husband is a stroke patient and facility met his needs.
