Good location. Filthy. I have traveled for thirty years and this is the worst place I have ever stayed.

Unless you just need a place late night to drop your head for a few hours then get back on the road!!! This place is old, not taken care of or renovated in the slightest bit. Nothing good at all to say from bed to carpet on floor to dirty bathrooms. JUST DON'T DO IT!!!

Room and hotel was dirty. Mold in bathroom. No phone in room. I thought Howard Johnsons were supposed to be OK. Definitely would not stay here again.

Nothing. Nothing. The hotel was horrible, has nasty carpet, the wall paper was peeling off the walls, and the shower was so dirty that you needed shower shoes. We did not stay here we checked out and went to a much better hotel. I will never stay there.

Please, remove this listing from your list of hotels in this area. It is Far Below what your company would advise as a stay. Costumer Service is not an option there as is a standard of clean. It is in SERIOUS need of management skills both with room maintenance and housecleaning along with customer service DID NOT TRY BED, RAN out 2 hours later.

Other hotels in area did not have non smokig rooms available. We should have stayed in a smoking room. Going to our second flloor room, cob webs in staircase, was our hint this was not going to be good. It llooks like some renovations were done in this room, like two rooms were combined. Room just felt dirty, large room, but not configured in a correct way. Would not recommed and will never stay here again.

It looked dirty and old. The service provider was gracious; however, the site itself was poor. It lacked cleanliness and the walk-ways were cracked and dirty looking.

this was without a doubt the most filthy, nasty place i have ever stayed. the pool was green, the rooms and corridors were nasty. i spoke with the travel agent rep who offered a * coupon for next stay, like i would ever use travel agent again! i have traveled quite a bit, used travel agent a lot. i must have forgotten to read the ratings. i can't believe i booked this place and exposed my family, 6 of us who had been in a car for 10 hours, to howard johnsons jonny belfield

Location and overall cleanliness. No top sheet on the bed. Just a flat sheet and blankets. Old, but remodeled and generally clean. No top sheet on the bed, just a flat sheet, blanket and bedspread. I didn't realize this until midnight when I turned in for the night.

great location, in between the convention center and USM. Friendly front desk staff. No problems with the room. Room was recently rennovated. Would recommend to others.

very old - smelled bad. tv doesn't even work. you could feel the springs in the mattress. I left my clothes in the trunk of my car - because I didn't want the smell to get on my clothes.

"Fifthy, checked out as quickly as we checked in. Made reservations would;t even let my dog sleep there the drawer front was half laying in the floor there was straw or dead grass on the carpet if it can be called that. It should be torn down thats all its good for the City should condemn the entire building. Howard Johnson should be ashame to have their name on such a place."

"If you are planning on staying at this hotel, keep going or sleep in the car, or in a tent or in a cardboard box. Prison would be nicer. The most hiddeous hotel I have ever, ever been in from it's condition to customer service, to ammenities. "

"This is the worst property at which we have stayed in a long time. The rooms are poorly maintained and in disrepair. The bathroom was abysmal. The shower/bath sprayed the cold water through the shower and the hot water through the bath spigot, burning your feet and freezing your head. The management was generally apologetic but offered no compensation or adjustments for the poor experience. We would have gone to another property but there were no other rooms in town."

"First night loud pool party past 1AM. Second night 4 phone calls (that were not for me) were patched through to my room through out the night wakeing me up each time. And the best for last, I couldn't get washcloths for the second day."

This hotel was in the middle of remodeling. We had to call to get toilet paper. The bed was very old and sunk in in the middle. And we asked for two days for a remote to the TV and never got one.
