This hotel was very clean and has been recently updated. It shows! It was our second time in two months and both rooms were excellent. The staff was very helpful and checking was easy. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good clean room. Only problem was they don't have an elevator, but worth the stay.

This was the most outrageously overpriced room I have stayed in in about 20 years. It was off the beaten track, the outside was not cared for, the hallway rug was dirty, the room rug was dirty, one pillowcase had not been changed, the furniture was chipped and worn.

Nothing! Everything! I would use Priceline, but I would never use this hotel again. The floors were not vacuumed and the fridge has mildew along the whole top gasket and the thing that bothered me the most was getting ready to get in bed and pulling the bedspread back and finding a dirty towel and a half smoked cigarette butt on the floor at the edge of the bed. The tub was very much in need of a good scrubbing.

The place stunk like stale cigarette smoke. The toilet where very short our non smoking room smelled of stale cigarettes (nasty) the hall ways where full of cigarette smoke being masked with so type of deodorant. Paper thin walls could here the people in the next room as well as the people up stairs.

The hotel staff was not friendly. I asked for wireless and he gave me a slip of paper with a name and password. When it wouldnt work, he said his works theres nothing he can do. it wasnt an experience that i hated nor was it one that i liked.

Nice clean room at a good price. Noisy people above me coming in at 2 am. Very good room. It was clean and just what I needed, bed and shower, for a stop-over.

the room above us had someone that walked real fast and made noise on our ceiling, it was annoying for until midnight.

The room met our needs, the manager was willing to meet our needs without any hassle, very nice staff! A little old, uncomfortable beds in need of some updating and repair. Although it wasn't fancy, the staff was very friendly, the manager was accommodating, it was affordable and met our needs for this brief trip. Great location, very quiet.

I would never stay at Howard Johnsons again. The Hotel was dirty. The room had an overwhelming air freshner smell. Their was Mold growing on the ceiling over the shower. Lighting was poor.

Nothing. Everything. Not a god place to stay, not a very quiet location. Had trouble with the room door, it had to be reprogrammed. the desk person was rude, acted like I didn't know how to open the door. I felt he had to got out of his way to come open the door, the halls and rooms smelled of smoke, stair case was in awkward place to go upstairs.

Cheap. Mold on bathroom ceiling. Cheap rate close to Mystic, but neighborhood is desolate with an old shopping strip next store. Room was basic but there was a lot of mold on the bathroom ceiling. The complimentary breakfast room was not bad.

Inexpensive. Room smelled too much like cleaner. Was ok for what we needed it for, bed was hard, too much air freshener or something in room. Check in and check out was simple

Convenient location, friendly service and facilities. I got bed bugs bite me and feel very sick. This is a economy hotel in convenient location and good in-room facilities. The front desk is friendly and very helpful. The only bad experience is probably from the bed bugs. I got very sick next morning and feel itchy for one week.

The hotel was clean, easy to find and good value for the money. The hotel is not on the main road through Groton but, is close for travel in Groton or nearby New London. The hotel is older but, provides all the extras such as refrigerator, microwave, cable and a morning breakfast room. Great value for the cost conscious traveler.
