I was attending a softball tounment and the rooms first when I walked in smelled of painted. I asked for non- smoking and could still smell smoke which inreturned flared up my allergies. The bathroom was very small I had to push very hard to open the front to the room as well as the bathroom door. If I had known that the amount I was paying for this room I would have went the Super 8. I have stayed at that chain before and much nicer.

Handicap room was conveniently located at front. Easy to park. Had to pay an upgrade for handicap. No Microwave, but room was clean etc. Nothing fancy, but clean and quite. Parking for us was easy, as we use handicap. Restaurant around corner, easy to get to.

The A/C in our first room would not come on at all. When I reported it to the office, before the desk person would give us another room she had to walk over to check for herself. She could not get the A/C on either so we walked back to the office but before she could give us another room she had to call her manager and explain everything to him AND tell him about other problems she was having with other customers. After about 30 minutes of this we got another room. Several other customers waiting to check-in had accumulated in the office during this time. During our stay we found a sewing needle and thread in our bed covers, the other bed had stains in the middle of the sheets, we killed several spiders and crickets in our room, I had trouble twice getting into our room with the key cards. The desk lady gave me three sets during one trouble time but never offered to go back to the room to help us get in. The desk lady finally gave me an "emergency" card which worked. The pool had empty beer cans and beer bottle tops on the ground both times I took my daughter to swim, the room towels were very thin and rough like coarse sand paper, and no receipt was given to me at check-out. On the good side, the TV and shower worked, the beds were relatively comfortable, and the hotel location was fairly easy to get in and out.

The Howard Johnson Express College Station was filthy. We had roaches in our room. The hotel sink would not drain. The coffee pot was not cleaned prior to our check in. The room was supposedly non-smoking but stunk to high heaven. There were bird droppings and some type of fluid stains on the entry way to the room. The continental breakfast was stale cold cereal, apple juice, coffee and stale muffins. The hotel staff was not concerned about any of these problems.

That I only had to stay 2 nights. It was filthy and the air did not work properly. This was the worst place I have ever been in all my travels. The bathroom was so bad we went out and bought cleaner and cleaned it and the tub ourself. The air quit working 4 hours into the night, called to report it and no one came. No towels, No trash can dumped, nothing. It was just horrible.

"This was the only room available for parents' weekend at A&M. We checked out after one night! The bathrooom window was broken, the remote didn't work, it was dirty, the toliet didn't flush, and when we arrived home at 1 am we couldn't get our door open because it had rained and the lock was wet. There were three of us lined up trying to get in our rooms. "

It was an older hotel, but available when others were not. The price was reasonable and the hotel was in decent, although not great shape.

Nothing. Price/location, staff. This was the biggest disappointment I have experienced as a business traveler. Run away!

My friend checked us in very late Friday night for a 2 night stay only to awake the next morning to find the room infested with roaches! Needless to say they did not make us keep the second night's reservation!

There were large bugs (roaches?) in the bathroom. There was a refrigerator but it was turned off so it took a few hours to get to cool. There was not an ice machine on the premises that either worked or could discharge ice.

I liked the location and the wireless Internet. I did not like the breakfast.

We liked nothing at all. The bed was very hard, room was not clean, crib provided was broken and not safe for my child. This was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. The king size bed was so hard that my husband and I were up most of the night. The crib that was provided was broken and not safe for my child. The drop down side was missing which would have allowed my 13 month old to fall out. We unfortunately returned to the room very late after a function and were too tired to deal with getting another room/crib. We got ice from the ice machine and noticed bug/roach remnants in the bucket after the ice melted. There were brown smears on the walls in the bathroom. I have no idea what that was. Smoking from the room next door was very evident in our non-smoking room. Again this was the worst room I've ever stayed in and wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Bathroom was to small. This hotel is adequate for an overnight stay if just traveling and need to rest. The television set is old and the viewing angle is very poor unless sitting on the bed.

"Although the mexican resteraunt next door was really good, the hotel has the ""ambience of a truckstop bathroom"". It was the kind of place that made you want to leave as soon as possible because it made you feel scummy, especially after using the bathroom. Next time I will pay the extra 20 to 30$ to stay in a place that is 100X better. "

Quiet location. For what we needed the room, it served our purpose. We didn't spend much time in the room, just to sleep, shower, etc.

Fortunately felt safe in the general neighborhood. Unresponsive staff; dead flies in room; falling ceiling and dirty facilities.

Security, bed, towels, bathroom, smell, sheets, lobby, service, lighting, TV, carpet, telephone, sink, shower and window that would not lock. This motel was terrible, dark, dirty and it stunk. The Bathroom had a window that would not lock. There were two doors to the outside from the room. Both had chains but were very weak. The bed was nasty. Do not stay here unless you have no other alternative. Stay in your car instead.
