Located in an idyllic rural place, only about 12 km from the Plitvice Lakes national park, our recently opened boarding house welcomes you with its cosy family atmosphere. We offer accommodation throughout the year, serve traditional home-made specialties and provide an ideal base from which you can explore the beautiful countryside. A nice terrace to spend relaxing hours, a beautiful garden with playing equipment for children and a free private parking are available. We offer you comfortable accommodation in daily cleaned soundproofed rooms and apartments (all with balconies). All rooms have private bathrooms and free of charge internet connection. The house is equipped with beautiful and functional furniture, which leaves warm impression. You can cater in our dining room (a vaste selection of local specialties for breakfast and dinner: bread, ham, cheese, sausages, marmelades, grilled or roasted meat, vegetables...), on the terrace or in the summer house in the garden. The facility (having a surface of 30 square meters and adequate for up to 20 persons) is equipped with a stone fireplace and other equipment for food storage. Grilling or roasting various types of meat (lamb, suckling pig) or vegetables is available for guests in agreement with owner who will offer you free of charge a home-made plum or honey brandy as aperitif too. Our house is located at the intersection of two major roads D-1 and D-52 (leading to the northern and central Adriatic Sea), both connected to the highway. You will easily reach our house when coming to Plitvice lakes and easily continue your trip when leaving them. The house is easily recognizable and reachable due to markations when driving through the village. 1. Starting point Zagreb, D1 direction Split (140 km). 2. Starting point Zagreb, motorway A1, exits (Gornja ploca, Gospic, Otocac), direction Korenica (cca 50km). Our house is surrounded by mountains and provides beautiful views on their landscape from every room. The centre of Korenica is close by, providing a bank, a market, a hospital and a pharmacy. Plitvice lakes are located only about 12 km from our house and offering entertainment all day long: sixteen cascading lakes, which form a series of beautiful waterfalls and nice forests with different species of plants and animals. Lovers of sports activities in nature can enjoy: - Rafting on the river Korana in Slunj or on the river Una in Bihac - Skiing in the ski resort Mukinje (NP Plitvice Lakes) - Hiking the surrounding mountains (Mrsinj, Kapela) - Cycling throughout numerous forest and rural roads - Organized games (paintball/woodsball, military drilling game, Off road with Quad motorbikes) - Tourist tax 1€ per person per night is not included. - Pets are allowed.
