Food and domestic drinks are enough and well prepared, entertainment is sufficiently provided, rooms are specious and clean but I have experienced problem with TV( no remote available even if you are willing to pay US$10 per day, programs 100% Spanish speaking),beach is nice but it is like a big swimming pool you have to pass at least 100m to reach depth above your head, good massage on the beach available and good to relax, not motorized activities well organized, tightened security also restricts bringing a friend to your room and even if you are willing to pay extra it depends on “evaluation” from the front desk counter weather your companion will be accepted or not.

This place is not safe and is grouse. My girlfriend and I stayed here one night to be close to the airport. We almost got mugged on the beach and our drinks were spiked with a drug at a nieghboring bar on the beach. The rooms were disgusting the bathroom especialy shower was brown and no water pressure.

Hotel had Roaches, Air Conditioning Broke in 85 degree + weather, TV was old and poor picture quality. The beach near the hotel had a lot of pedlers and was not the cleanest the country had to offer. This would be a 1 star hotel, the outside grounds were kept clean and pretty, the food was good, but the actual rooms where you slept, and the bathrooms especially were down right awful!

The hotel under renovations, but well kept. The buffet was not the best. The staff is friendly however cater more to the tourist from other countries. The room are accomadating however the closet had no door. Little or no activies at this hotel, which is good if your looking to relax. The beach area is not private and the vendor are annoying. However to is an excellent hotel to release the stress, relax and unwind. I would definately return to this hotel.

Traveled to the city (colonial zone) on a couple of excursions but spent the majority of my 7 night stay at the resort. The beach is Amazing, water is warm and clear. The only bad part was all the natives trying to sell you everthing from puppies to manicures. It becomes a bit overwhelming for the sensitive at heart. Other than that, It was a great trip.

First the food was very good I've stay at other all inclusives in Boca Chica and the food at the Bay is head and shoulders better. I didn't really participate in the activities, quite frankly I usually don't participate in hotel activities. Message was great and cheap only * US dollars. The bed was too hard. The bathroom tub and shower area needs a little work. I would stay here again it was great value for the money. Great place for single who want to stay in Boca Chica and want the all inclusive package.

It was the worst hotel managment i have ever seen, very rude and not helpful, the food buffet was very poor ,not clean,i would not recomend to any of my friends, bad experience compare with other all inclusive hotels that i have been to 6 or 7 great hotels.

The hotel was a great value for the price. The dining room and food available was wonderful. This hotel has nice pools and the pool-side cocktails were great too. The hotel has a bridge to the beach so you don't have to cross the street and a nightclub on the beach, which is included. The bathrooms needed some maintenance but for the price, the hotel is a great deal. The hotel has a show on the weekends to entertain the guests with different types of dances. Unfortunately for my girlfriend, there was no blow drier in the room. Apparently, the guest has to request it but when I requested one there were none available. The hotel offers free water activities that I didn't know about because I didn't read all the information on the paperwork I received at check-in. In order to participate in the water activities you must arrive at the desk on the beach, early.

Check in was slow. There is no help to carry your suit cases. The paint is peeling. You pay extra for a security box. The beach is far almost a hike. There were no towels available for four days. I requested the room changed twice to my dismay the last had roaches and mosquitos. The concierge was not helpful at all. The entertainment was repetitive. There was not much variety in the food selection. The worst part was the night chef tried hitting on my wife trying to pass her his phone number. This place is a disgrace to all inclusive resorts.

I got to the hoteal at 12 noon, waited almost 45 minutes before anyone acknowledge me as others just walked right over and asked questions while I waited in line. Made me come back after 3 or they would chargeme $30 to checkinearly per person.GOtto the rooms,ac didnt work, went to food area, there were scraps left every time. No internet in rooms, no iron.long walk to beach, and they made you pay for brand name alcohol.I would never stay there again if you paid me!!!

Travelled to this hotel after a beautiful Royal Caribbean Cruise from Santo Domingo Mar 1-8th. Wanted to make a 10 day holiday. Check in, and initial impression of lobby was nice, very slow staff, typical of area. They played the typical Dominican trick, give you the worst room and see if you complain. First room had 2 beds, one made, the other offset and unmade. Bathroom was terrible, rust all over, dirt in all the grout and caulking, parts off under the sink where it looks like a racoon could come in. Immediately (didnt even open suitcase) went to request good room. Stood at front desk for 30 mins while they all went in the big wooden door. Tried to get a manager, but none available. Oldest guy there came up and offered another room. Went to that one. Room now had 1 made bed (hard as heck), bathroom even worse. Went back down and they said that was all they had. It was a smoking room (we had booked non-smoking). Tried to get my sheet back from check in to get the Orbitz # to call, they wouldnt give to me. Luckily I had another printed copy in my luggage. Low and behold, no number to contact Orbitz to complain and get advice on options. Around 5PM had 3 power outages, no hot water, toilet wouldnt flush Thought lets go have some free drinks and food. Food was brutal...I have been to 2,3,4,5 and even 6 star resorts. Have been to a 2.5 in Puerto Plata and it was even nicer then here. Tried the beef, couldnt chew it. There was rice, beans, fish. Always a fried banana dish and pasta bar. Ate the pasta. The drinks, they serve in washed plastic cups (not the typical disposible kind), didnt trust the washing of these cups. Beer was draft so you couldnt drink a bottle. All drinks were too sweet. Every meal we tried most of the things on the buffet and every meal I left almost a full plate for them to bus. Not once did anyone even approach our table to check on things although they were walking around. Breakfast had the left over beef from previous night, had runny scrambled

While the grounds, pool and dining room were nice the room was the worst I had been in. The shutters on the window would not open so it was like a cell. The noise from outside and adjoining rooms was terrible. The pillows were wads of foam or rags and they didn't replace them when I asked. So many things were broken in the room and there wasn't a phone so you couldn't call the desk about the problems. I will never stay here again and probably not in the Dominican Republic ever again.

I would NOT recommend this hotel nor location to anyone. The area the hotel resides in is a bad location and you are hastled the minute you leave the resort grounds. The resort has two sections, one on the beach, which is where the disco and a snack bar/bar is and the other is the main resort in which all the rooms and swimming pools are. The pictures given make you believe you will be on the beach but you are actually about a 100 yard walk from the beach. As you walk out of the resort you'll also notice the razor wire on top of the brick walls surrounding the complex. When you finally make it to the beach, if you walk past a small brick wall (the locals aren't allowed to cross) the locals start to hastle you to buy goods (necklaces, paintings, shells, typical items), or even other services in the form of prostitution or massages. On top of being hastled there is a lack of police and the some of the guards are shady. My father, age 60, was stopped by an armed guard (carrying a shotgun) requesting cash in order to continue back to the hotel. If you stray away from the hotel, be very careful with who you talk to and where you go. I reported an incident (basically mugged) to the police and waited 3 hrs for assistance to no avail. I finally gave up after seeing the 6 police officers standing around talking, laughing, and eating without paying any attention to me. Not to mention in the time frame, one of the officers actually went in a back room with a prostitute in front of me. After witnessing this i decided i was wasting my time and needed to leave. When i told the officers this they didn't say a word and actually appeared relieved that i didn't want to take this incident any further. Early in my vacation (2nd night) i went to a disco for my birthday. This was a really terrible experience. When entering the disco you are grabbed and felt up by prostitutes offering sexual favors. The girls in the clubs swarm you as if you are a piece of fresh meet and will not leave yo

The Hotetour by Dominican Bay was excelent! Food, amenities, the area have a lot of security officers. All the staff are very friendly. If Im going to say that the hotel need something, I say that need to have Room Services (can order that somebody deliver to you food to the room) Check in and check out not so fast, but run smooths. Another things is that the hotel dont let pass any body to the rooms or the hotel area, I have some meetings and have do it outside of the hotel or in the lobby. But the place is great, the food is great, and have a lot of amenities.

This hotel is very cheap for what it provides. All inclusive on drinks and meals. The alcohol is a cheap brand, but if you like beer you'd love the local Presidente. I didn't really want to drink anything else. The room is okay, comfortable, but do not expect anything fancy. The staff is very friendy. The food is also good. A good value for your money. If you want a high end hotel, you want to look somewhere else. Oh, security around the hotel is very good. You have to walk a little to go to the beach, but there are security guards all over the place.

This hotel has it all. I was thoroughly impressed with everything about the hotel. I really didn't know what to expect when I first arrived from the mixed reviews, but I was completely impressed with everything the hotel had to offer. The rooms were great, the staff was extremely helpful, and the food and drinks were fantastic. Excellent hotel!!!

The hotel was very clean and the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The room was big with a walk-in closet and very clean. The beach was a block away and the area is safe. The only negative was the food which was average and I am being generous with that comment. I would stay there again for the price that I paid.
