What are your breakfast options?: Our breakfast is served in the bistro and is also available as room service. It is served from 7:00am - 10:00am on weekdays and from 8:00am - 11:00am on weekends. There is a wide cooked and Continental selection and these are priced per person at £12.95 for a Continental and £14.95 for a cooked.
What transport is available to get around?: There is plenty of transport in and around York. The nearest airport is Leeds Bradford which is reachable by car, taxi or train. It is approximately 50 minutes away if driving. By train, it is a little longer as you need to get a train to Leeds centre and then transfer to a bus at Leeds to get to the airport. We are a 10 minute walk from the city centre; however, there are a few buses which run past the hotel and drop off in the centre. We are also able to organize taxis for you at reception. The nearest beach is at Scarborough which is around 1 hour away by bus. These buses are frequent (around 1 an hour) and can be embarked at the bus station (outside the train station).
What can I do nearby?: York has many great sights and points of interest including York Minster, the Castle Museum, the Yorkshire Museum and the Jorvik Viking Centre. York also has a large range of high street and boutique shops.
Do you have internet?: We offer 30 minutes of complimentary Wi-Fi all over the hotel. After this time, a code may be purchased from reception at £7.50 for 8 hours and £10.00 for 24 hours.
Do you provide parking?: We do have on-site parking. As it is limited, this works on a first come first served basis and it is charged at £10 overnight. If you do decide to drive, we always recommend coming to the hotel first then if there is no parking available, we can take any bags from you and put them into your room and direct you to the nearest parking. If you were unable to park at the hotel, there are some free on-street parking less than 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel on Scarcroft Road. Alternatively, there is an NCP car park on Queen Street which is approximately a 7 minute walk from the hotel.
