Small but cozy and close to everything! We loved our stay and will always use the Hotel Waldstein Prague. The breakfast is worth the stay. There is no air-conditioning so request a fan is traveling in the summer. We never had a problem because who sit in their hotel during the day?

we had one of the ground floor (twin) rooms facing on to the internal courtyard. as the stairways are all wood this was extremely noisy in the early morning from 6.30hrs when all the early risers were getting up. Also the staff used the courtyard to chat and smoke so the smoke and noise permeated into the room through the open windows. Unfortunately not a hotel which has anywhere communal to sit (except the courtyard of course).Beds were comfortable. The 2 rooms we had were shower only -Do not know if they have baths? Vvery well situated hotel ,close enough to Charles Bridge yet quiet at night. Advice -Book a top floor room so you don't hear everyone tramp up and down the wooden stairways.

When we arrived with our reservation, there was no constancy of this at the hotel. At any rate, the woman in reception gave us a bigger room and respect the conditions we have booked, and after that, cleared up the affair with Venere. Very professional.

The Hotel Waldstein Prague is small, but perfectly located in the castle quarter. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The staff arranged taxis and day tours, changed our money and pointed us in the right direction.

Everything was ok at hotel Waldstein in the Mala Strana area, as we expected to find it. A good 3 star hotel. Very easy and fast transport from airport, - direct public bus to metro station, only 2 stops and a few minuts walk. Same cheep ticket can be used. Mala Strana is a beautiful area in Prague with old very well kept houses. As the hotel is situated close to Parliament offices it is a very calm area, and good reataurants expensive and cheep can easily be fould in the neighbourhood. Little Venice in Prague, the area Kampa, is 5 minuts walk away, close to the river Moldau, and with its parks, canals, old houses, restaurants and a museum with modern art make it to a really attractive place.

A fine example of period architecture very central to Prague. Staff very friendly (except when promoting trips), free internet useful. Basically, a great stay, except for the very tired mattress which is not great for the back - but don't let that put you off!

I booked the accommodation through venere with a note that I required twin beds (not double). The request had obviously not been acknowledged but we were offered an apartment. It had a spacious bathroom (only downside was that there was only a shower not a bath - but the shower was good and powerful and the water was always hot), a kitchen with kettle, fridge and cups, saucers, plates, etc. There was a large room with twin beds pushed together and a small table and chairs. In addition there was a twin bed room. I found the bed very comfy and slept really well. The breakfast was great and was served in the cellar area. All the food was excellent. I was nervous before arriving that I had not received confirmation of a twin room, especially as the pics indicated cramped accommodation. I was very pleasantly surprised at what we were offered, and the stated rate was adhered to even though I think we got much better accom than we'd booked.

The hotel is very well placed for tourism. It's quiet, and the quality of service is good. Small inconvenient : our bathroom was separated from the room. However, it was a private one, just beside the room, and it it not the case of the rooms, so it's a small inconvenient compared to all the advantages.

The room has only a small window and was not in the hotel building where are better rooms but more expensive.

Generally a very good experience and I would stay at Ave Waldstein again. The location is excellent for access to all the historic locations in Prague, and convenient for the Metro (Malostranska). Very good buffet breakfast in vaulted cellar (but inferior coffee). The rooms were smaller and not quite as elegantly furnished as I had expected from the photographs on the web site, and thus I felt the cost per night expensive for what was provided. On the other hand, the in-room safe was free of charge, and the mini-bar prices refreshingly low. Hotel staff were very helpful and all spoke fluent English.
