The kind of place you go for quiet (or could be th etime of year). Do it yourself place with a mini kitchen. One restaurant on site. Pool and full spa services available. Transportation to beach provided.

Beautiful setting. Window seals were very dirty. Nice, clean and very friendly staff.

When you approach the resort you are impressed with the surroundings, the view, the hospitality of the staff.....but Don't expect to eat unless you bring your own food or leave the resort. The restaurant doesn't open until 5pm. No bar to get a drink either. The rooms are clean, and take on a far easten flair. Very niceThe pool area was very average. The restaurant Capiche was one of the best on the island. Worth making a reservation.

The spa is amazing. No food service near the pool and the hot tub was closed. Tranquil grounds with waterfalls and ocean views. This place is tucked into the mountain and has the most amazing spa I've ever been in.

We were so pleasantly surprised with the quality and service of this hotel! We arrived very late from our flight, and there were friendly people there to greet us and help us out right as we got in. The rooms were huge and spacious with a beautiful back porch. They were very well taken care of consistently throughout our trip. The grounds were beautifully landscaped, and it was clear that much care was taken to keep them up properly. The hotel was quiet and relaxing. Don't let the fact that it is not directly on the beach deter you from staying here. The beach is about a one minute drive down the road. The only drawback would be for those who have trouble walking. Our room was probably one of the farthest one from the parking lot, and it was a bit of a hike. We are pretty fit, but were still out of breath when we finally reached the lot! Of course, if you did have trouble walking, I would imagine you could request a room closer to the parking lot. All in all, it was a beautiful and memorable trip. Wailea is an amazing area as well, and a wonderful place to stay while in Maui.

The bed-the size of two double beds. Location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The 4-suite units are well layed out and beautifully landscaped, including koi ponds and waterfalls. However, the hotel is in much need of upgrade and repair.

My stay at the Diamond resort was a very enjoyable, relaxing experience...the staff was very friendly & helpful. The room had a great view of the koi pond, and partial ocean view that was a complimentary upgrade. I would definately recommend that anybody would have a great experience at the Diamond resort. It's beautiful...and very quiet...and getting to use the spa services made a great end to every day.

I really enjoyed Diamond resort. The layout is unique in that it's not a mass scale hotel with all rooms and balconies in a row, it's more separated and I think better than some of the more expensive hotels. Size of the room was great, like a studio apt. really. The spa was interesting as well. The downside is things are a little dated, rooms could be updated along with furnishings but then it would probably be higher priced. And although the view is spectacular you're not on the beach, we drove down and it was no problem at all but if you're looking for that this place may not be for you. Overall, would stay there again in a heartbeat. Staff would courteous and hotel was clean. Didn't eat at either of their restaurants though.

Beautiful setting. Quiet, serene. Well kept grounds. Room showed it's age a little. Overall an A+ if what you are looking for is peace and quiet. Parking area is away from the housing so you have to walk a lot, up and down the somewhat steep sidewalks, or catch the golf cart shuttles. All the staff were very nice and accommodating. I would definitely go back.

First off, for people that expect 4 or 5 star hotel at that price in Hawaii, book the 4 seasons or Grand Wailea - for extra 2K per week This hotel is not the best hotel, however if you are considering booking a condo in Maui, you are better off with Diamond Hawaii. Every room offers 2 burners & a small fridge (you must request complimentary cookware) coffee & green tea is complimentary as well…Again, only if you are willing to prepare your own meals (God knows we found the best mahi mahi in local supermarket & saved enormous amount of money by not eating out every single meal.) It’s not the closest hotel to the beach, however hotel offers a complimentary taxi (it’s actually one of those funny looking carts that old people use to drag their sorry asses while playing golf). Staff was extremely courteous & pleasant, we haven’t ate at the restaurant that’s highly acclaimed (some Italian restaurant, coming from NYC I’m not willing to try Hawaiian twist on Italian food Lastly we rented a car, you must have a car if you are willing to explore everything that Maui has to offer. Drives to Halaekala & Hana are must, although there are so many great beaches, trails to hike & places to see around the island that 2 short weeks just wasn’t enough time to explore the entire island.

Privacy, location, views, were all excellent. The room was spacious and had a separate bedroom and a mini kitchen. The room could have a microwave oven and a toaster as well as providing some additional coffee. The common areas of the resort were beautifully landscaped with fountains and fish as well as numerous flowering trees and shrubs and well maintained lawns. The staff was always smiling and friendly and accommodating. The coin laundry on site was appreciated.

The grounds are beautiful. The room was a large suite with a balcony and partial ocean view, but the decor was blah, and the rug had several noticeable stains. There is a small kitchen area with fridge, which is great to cook for yourself and save money. The front desk made a small, fixable error with my reservation, and they upgraded my room to make up for the maybe 15 minute wait I had to endure before checking in. The lobby has an impressive waterfall and koi pond. The resort was not crowded and I had no wait to check in. The restaurants looked beautiful. The beach is about 4 blocks away. I walked it one day, and drove another day. That's a small issue when you get to pay less than half what the hotels below the Diamond are charging. TIP: I went to the Grand Wailea resort for a spa treatment.... HIGHLY recommended. The pool at the Diamond is small, outdoors, and not impressive compared to the Grand Wailea, but overall I'm happy with the value of this place. I wouldnt stay here for a honeymoon because its a little too disappointing for that, but I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who doesnt want to pay through the nose for the same area as the fancier resorts next door. The staff were very professional and polite.

The hotel grounds were nice. Dirty and outdated rooms; mold in kitchenette area. I would not recommend this hotel. Didn't look like the floors had been cleaned in a long time. Very outdated decor with uncomfortable bed.

Loved the hotel, incredibly serene villas with beautiful views. Stay here if you want to truly relax and enjoy time with your travelling companions (no children were around and wouldn't recommend this place for families as there isn't much for kids to do). Staff was very helpful but did not hover. Japanese-style spa was unique treat. Rooms were not fancy and could be updated, but absolutely enjoyed feeling like we were only people there (they were 80% occupied), listening to the birds and watching the sun set with a glass of wine. Definitely recommend it for a relaxing or romantic, no-fuss getaway.
