Great Hotel!!Really enjoyable stay, cannot wait to go back. The best part about this hotel were the personnel at the reception. They really made sure that our hotel stay was a pleasant one. Local advice was available whenever we needed it, and they offered to make all our bookings. The location of the hotel is spot on, half way between Charlesbridge and the astronomical clock. There are plenty of drinking holes and restaurants in the area, but all are a bit pricey. If you are really very bothered by street noise, then probably this hotel is not for you as there can be some loud celebrations on the street below. However it is all pretty good natured and tends to end at about midnight.The rooms of this hotel are quirky and unique. They are quite beautifully decorated. We had rented two double rooms which were both completely different from each other- more suites than rooms.The breakfast is pretty good but nothing really exceptional. We didn't really try the restaurant attached to the hotel, so cannot comment on its quality.We had a lovely stay in Praha and will probably go back there again. If we do, I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else.

We loved staying here because it was small and personable, like a B&B rather than a big chain hotel. If you want to be centrally located in the heart of Old Town, this is a good place. [**Be sure to have them arrange your transportation -especially from the train station**] Everything is easily walkable. After reading previous reviews about the possible street noise at night, we decided to stay anyways and do not regret it. We spent 3 nights and would return to stay again. There was sporadic street noise, so bring along some ear plugs and you won't be bothered by it. If you're out shopping & sight seeing, it's very convenient to stop back to your room to drop off purchases, take a quick break, then head back out. We just couldn't get enough of this beautiful city. If art and architecture are of interest, you must go.

First Prague ExperienceThis was a first class experience introducing us to Prague. The location is idea for access to the Old Town and within walking distances to other parts as well. The Castle was about a 45 minute walk, allowing for stopping at the many shops on the way! The National Theatre is about a 15 minute walk along the river. The Germans and English do like their stag parties and the Hotel has done their very best to address the problem of outside noise, which is only a real problem if you sleep with the window open, if you do take your ear plugs! Apart from this, the family run Hotel is extremely friendly and all the staff are very helpfull without being intrusive, their quality of english will suitably embarrass all who cannot speak Czech! We had the suite with the 16th Century original painted ceiling, which is truely amazing, the room was very comfortable and clean. Sorry but that's all we are going to say because the rest we will keep to ourselves to save it getting too popular. We will definately be back!

Food was ok but basic, however we only ate breakfast there. Area was quite noisy late at night which upset my kids sleep a few times. One of my children knocked over a standard lamp (breaking the shade) whic had been placed right next to his sofa bed. The hotel expected me to pay £60 to repair this lamp as they did not have any 'Damage Insurance'. Eventually I paid a token of £20 as I didn't need the hassle. Other than that hotel ok but quite expensive. It is in a good position for exploring the 'Old Town'.
