I stayed here for ten nights and enjoyed it very much. True, the building is very old and spcaes (elevator, hallways, shower etc.) are tiny, but it's in Paris after all and many buildings there are older so I feel it's unfair to leave a negative comment regarding these things as it is soemthing that neither owners or staff of the hotel can help. What made my stay there so pleasant was without a doubt the staff; SUPER nice and helpful people that listened patiently to our broken French, suggested appropriate restaurants, and were always very polite, whether we went out in the morning or came back in the evening. Lovely people in a lovely city, merci beaucoup, au bientot! :)

This was the only hotel I visitted in France that had a shower curtain. That's very good. The elevator never worked and we stayed on the 3rd floor.

This was our first Hotel Paris and a lovely little one at that. Great location with plenty of shops. Plenty of places to eat out. Knowing now how easy it is to get around Paris on the underground I would have stayed here the entire stay.

Good location for a city breakGood location if you are coming or leaving from Gare de Lyon. Small, clean, essential rooms but quite expensive even with the late room discount.

The rooms are not modern but at the same time clean. Some fixtures show their age, but everything was working fine. This was a great place for us - we needed a Metro station close by and we needed somewhere comfortable to sleep at night. This is no Luxury hotel, but at the same time it never claims to be. I would recommend this for those who come to Paris to enjoy it's attractions and cafes rather than sit in their hotel room and watch TV. Your money will be better spent in restaurants and museums.

Convenient location, wife, air conditioning. Room was shabby; elevator was broken, common areas were dreary. I was looking for a hotel with 3 things, wife, air conditioning and iron. The hotel had these, but everything else was lacking. Rooms and common areas badly need updating; elevator was broken (tough for people on the 4th floor). Service was either incompetent, i.e. Clerk forgot to order a taxi as promised, or snooty.

The room on the 5th floor in this allegedly 3 star hotel can at best be rated as 2 star. Otherwise OK.

Although the staff was friendly and helpful the maintainence of the hotel paticularly the lift (elevator) was unacceptable. We stayed for ten nights and only had a lift three of those days. Considering we were staying on the sixth floor and had to lug our luggage up a narrow staircase and down again. One night they ran out of towels and we had to shower with only a hand towel to dry off with. This hotel had been listed as a three star we felt that this was an over statement of the value and should be only be a one or two star at the very most. Like I said before, the staff was a definate mitigating factor but the lack of an elevator for such an extended time was not an experience I would care to experience again.

This hotel is cheap and cheerful. Conveniently located for Gare de Lyon or Bercy if you're getting the train to anywhere else in France.

The front desk staff at Hotel Trianon Gare de Lyon, Paris, FR were very helpful. They were concerned for my well being since it was my first time in France. They recommended food options outside of the hotel and helped me to get a taxi to my final destination. Although my stay was short, I would recommend this hotel to others and would choose to stay there again.

Clean with friendly staff. Air-conditioning not yet available. It wasn't as close to Gare de Lyon as expected, but it wasn't bad if you don't have much luggage. We were very satisfied with it. If you are traveling in a large group with many bags, stay somewhere closer to the train station or airport that has a bigger elevator.

Truly enjoyed my 4 day stay at this hotel! Located just three blocks from a main train station and all the metro and bus stops are nearby as well. The staff, all of them, were friendly and very helpful and pleasant. As a single woman, traveling alone, I felt safe and comfortable. I certainly would stay here again!

This hotel is conveniently situated near metro and rail stations in residential area amid beautiful 18'th & 19'th century buildings. Most rooms offer nice views from the windows; several rooms come with balconies. Rooms are fairly spacious for european hotels but are still smaller than an american traveller might expect. Most employees at concierge desk speak good English and are eager to help with patrons' needs. Elevator cabin is very small: at most two people can fit (or one with luggage). Room service is impeccable.

We were very happy with this small, well-run and friendly hotel which was not expensive and was very conveniently located to the Metro and Gare de Lyon train station. The rooms were compact and clean, affording us a nice place to stay and see the wonderful city of Paris.

staff was very friendly and helpful, close to train station bathroom was cramped, could not stand in tub, This hotel is walking distance from the Gare de Lyon (major train and metro station) and very convenient to the lively Bastille neighborhood. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but the rooms and furnishings seem dated. I would not recommend getting a room on the top floor as the ceilings are slanted due to the roof and makes it feel cramped. This was especially a problem in the bathrooms where we could not stand up fully in the tub because of the sloping ceiling.

We did not like the hotel & only stayed there 1 night. Noisy, not enough beds for 3 of us. We were very disappointed with this hotel and had to move after the first night.

it was in paris... Small room, small bathroom, no shower curtain, no shampoo, not enough soap, old old old room Cramped rooms with even more cramped bathroom make this old feeling hotel a difficult place to spend much time in. For the price I would stay at an etap hotel on the outskirts of town. At least you can fit in their shower
