My stay at St Augustine was very pleasant. The staff were very nice and accomadating. I really don't have a lot to complain about. The pictures on the internet do give an illusions that it might be a little more than what it is. However it was such a quaint hotel, I would say it didn't make the stay bad. It was different from other hotels that I have stayed in.

Exceptional staff make you feel so welcome and comfortable. Great location - steps to the beach and to the restaurants but quiet when you want to relax. There are not lots of extras in terms of gimmicks and activities - it is a small european style hotel that focuses on the details that matter most and not trying to be like everyone else. We love the large steam showers and open plan rooms - the robes are great and parking a plus. The housekeeping is very good. We don't normally write reviews, but we recommend this to our friends so why not to you! We will be back again!

The staff at St. Augustine was really nice. We didn't stay long, but the time we were there, they gave us good recommendations for dinner and the location was easy to walk around. They also even had breakfast at 6am, which was a bonus. I would definitely stay there again.

I am not crazy about the shower, the bathroom is out in the open, there's no privacy, breakfast is horrible (there's never anything left). Entrance is nice, the people are nice.

we were in south beach on memorial day weekend which was so hectic it was ridiculous the hotel was just outside all the mess so it was perfect location beautifully decorated and had great facilities except no pool but the beach is a 5 min walk

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I felt at home. I can't wait for them to get their liquor license. I would have hung out at their bar. For a small hotel, I could not have expected more. The shower was the best feature as it was also a steam room! This hotel is for the quiet traveler who wants to distance herself from the crowd, but still be accessible to it! It will be my home when in South Beach.

The internet side and the broschure give you the imagination of a very fancy hotel, which is not true. The queens bed room is nothing for couples and the shower including the sauna is not given an extra value to the room at all. The cleaness of the hotel room was not appropriate, so that we have been not very happy to pay this price for the hotel, because we have expected a fancy hotel... The location of the hotel is close to the beach and in the area are a lot of good restaurants and bars/clubs, which give the hotel a better value.

If you're looking for luxury and business amentities then this is not your place. This IS your place if you want to stay in South Beach but don't want to break the bank. This place is clean, staff is great and cozy. The steam showers are nice and relaxing and location is top notch. Limited hotel parking on site is key too. Overall good location and value, neat hotel and a great staff.

This hotel is very nice... the lobby is small but clean, and the bar/breakfast room is very small but also nice and clean... breakfast is served every morning from 8-11 which is kind of late... and we were happy about that in case we wanted to sleep in. Bailey the hotel dog is an absolute sweety pie... he was always there to greet us. the hotel is situated at the end of Washington ave so its just a quick drive up and you will find tons of restaurants and clubs. and a little further up you will find espanola way and lincoln road which has fine dining all different options, movie theater, and shopping, its an outside mall and shouldn't miss it when going to south beach. the hotel is a short walk from the beach and the famous ocean drive which also has many restaurants which i don't particularly like and wouldn't recommend for they are very pricey... but the beach right in front is the best beach ever! must go! the hotel rooms are quite big.. bigger than i expected and totally different from just your average hotel... the shower is huge! and completely awesome. if you stay at this hotel is will definitely be for the shower and the free breakfast consisting of fresh pastries and cereal and coffee and orange juice!

I have been in Miami before and I have finally found my home away from home. When we arrived we were welcomed by the friendliest staff. We were able to check in early which does not happen to often in Miami... Our room had been renovated in a very simple yet functional and comfortable way. I loved the new bathroom with glass door shower big enough for a whole family. In the morning we would go downstairs as we would at home to have breakfast and read the newspaper. The hotel is perfectly situated only a couple of blocks from the beach and away from from busy and loud Ocean Drive. It was the perfect vacation. I've already recommended the hotel to a couple of friends and we will stay at St Augustine again without a doubt...

lots of light, decor was very nice - small which was fine with us ....closet was deep but not any room to get in... bar was nice - but no liquor license ... over all the stay was pleasant and area was nice ......

We have generally stayed at name brand hotels for decades so this was a new experience. We were quite happy to see the various services and personal attention provided at this smaller competitive hotel. The environment was very casual and friendly - the room was well done. The room was well designed for relaxation and the sauna type bathroom was great with 6 jets. Walk in to most form of entertain ment was certainly a plus. Very good value. Will cerainly call them if I go back to Miami.

The room was modern, beautiful and perfectly maintained. The shower was great. Had a blast in South Beach and this hotel is in a perfect location to the beach, clubs, shopping & restaurants.
