Business hours of reception: from 07:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The Familienhotel Sonngastein is located in Bad Gastein, about 85 km south of Salzburg. It can be easily reached by car and train. Our superior rooms and family rooms in superior style perfectly combine sophisticated comfort and convenient home decor. The standard rooms and our favoured family studios in standard style are set in a friendly, bright and individual way. Furthermore, they offer a magnificent view. Start your day with a nice and rich breakfast buffet, which holds a lot of promise. In the summer season you can choose from a refreshing lunch buffet. For dinner, a selection of 3 different 4-course menus is offered. Guests can use the spa and sports facilities for free. We provide thermal spas, a sauna, herbal steam bath, chill-out rooms, tennis courts, a professional bicycle park, a modern gym and a cinema. Visit our 1.600 m² children’s adventure play area free of charge (the largest hotel-owned adventure play area in Austria). Here, childcare is offered on 5 days of the week. A vast sports and activity programme is available for both adults and children. For an extra fee guests can make use of massages and cosmetic treatments, play billiards, take tennis lessons or take advantage of the reduced green-fee on the adjacent Gastein golf court.
