Needs updating!! Rooms small, the best part was the staff & location to the Via Veneto % Spanish steps , Borghese Park. Way too much money...our T.V. was broken. They had one computer for the guests to use in the main lobby, but had some Swiss Service computer contract & was unable to get on AOL !! I had to go 3 blocks away to a tacky Internet cafe!!! Hotel needed up-dating, again the breakfast was just O.K. the eggs were processed watery disgusting!!!

Hotel is generally nice with fairly nice staff. The issue we had was that the hotel would not activate the Air Conditioning! All the rooms have A/C but they only turn the system on during the day time, if at all. It gets fairly hot at night and the noise on the street is too much to keep the windows open (there are several bars that stay open all night around the hotel.) I won't be staying here again and recommend double checking the rooms prior to checking in, and definitely don't prepay for rooms.

The rooms were in the process of renovation, but not completed, especially the carpet. The breakfast was superb and the service was very freindly. In walking distance from many attractions, and near public transportation. A greater selection of English language cable channels would have been nice. My wife and I would highly recommend the Hotel Savoy Rome to future travellers.

The staff seemed preoccupied and not very helpful. The room, while large, had a terribly uncomfortable bed with sheets and blankets that were scratchy and felt like burlap. No turn down service The room had no AC or bathroom fan so every shower steamed up the entire room. The dinning room was terribly over priced. The location is great right across the street from the US Embassy and there are plenty of great local restaurants in the area. I would not recommend the Hotel Savoy Rome to anyone. Its not worth the price.

We enjoyed our stay in Rome and the Savoy hotel. Location and hotel great, would stay in The Savoy Hotel again. Savoy does need a good inviting bar.

My husband and I were in Rome last year and stayed at a very elegant hotel close by. Bringing the children this year meant an added room so the Savoy was perfect. The rates were more reasonable without forfeiting quality, service or vicinity to attractions. The staff was always friendly and willing help where ever possible. We were there in August which is a busy tourist season, but I understand a lot of residents are away on holiday. A room on the fifth floor I am sure added to the quietness, which was fine with all of us. I would definitely stay at the Savoy again with or without the children.

The hotel is well situated and pretty much does what it claims to. The area surrounding is pricey for eating but you may want to take a wander further afield to eat. Eating in the hotel is good and appeared well priced. The only bug bear is that the hotel appears to have a bar/coffee shop but when stayed (late march) it did not seem to be the case. The breakfast buffet is good and sets you up for a day of touring. The rooms are big enough and it was clean.

Good hotel. It was difficult to catch a taxi infront of the hotel because of a big strike.
