An excellent little hotelThis is a great location, just a short stroll from the the central piazza of Sorrento. Our room (no.15) was at the front on the first floor, with a small balcony overlooking the street (busy during the day, with plenty to watch!) Didn't need the air conditioning despite being 30 degrees C during the day, nice and shaded and cool.The hotel is clean and neat - run by the delightful Rosa (who was helpful and full of local advice) and her husband (who will add pancakes, eggs etc to the excellent breakfast buffet served in a small bright dining room!).Parking available at friends of the owners at 15 euros per night. Costs reasonable by Sorrento standards (!) Can't think of any reason to stay anywhere else!

We stayed four nights in the Hotel Savoia in September 2008. This small family-owned hotel has an excellent location, just 4-5 minutes walking from Sorrento centre Piazza Tasso and 10 minutes to the Circumvesuviana train/bus station. Our double room was OK, clean, normal size, with a small balcony and a super-small shower cabin. As you'd expect from a 2-star hotel, our room was simple, but it was well-maintained--in fact, many 3-star hotels I've seen were (a lot) less impressive. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, also spoke English well. The breakfast was the most generous we had in Campania and consisted of fresh croissants/pastry, salami, ham, cheese, bread, cereals, yogurt, fruit juice, jam, butter, fruits and fruit salads. We were also offered fried eggs and pancakes. The only negatives I could mention are the noise in the morning (traffic starts early) and the small shower cabin, but neither really bothered us. In overall, Hotel Savoia offers outstanding value for the price.

V handy for railway and Sorrento centre. V good breakfast. Owners helpful and plenty of knowledge about area, ferries etc. Nice comfortable bed after hard day's sightseeing!

Good clean room/bathroom - both spacious. Bit expensive for location away from centre but overall worth it.
