The Hotel Sanoya (Ryokan) rests in central Kyoto, one block from Kyoto Station, two kilometers (1.2 miles) from the Gion geisha district, 2.5 kilometers (1.6 miles) from the Shijo entertainment district and three kilometers (1.9 miles) from Nijo-jo Castle.
