The staff was super friendly and the location was very convenient. The pool was clean. Rooms were spotless.

The staff was friendly and the decor was fun without being too much. Not too many dining options around. Recommend to all. Great quiet hotel with amazingly friendly staff. They all seemed very genuine. Even in the elevator the housekeeping staff wished us a good day with a smile! The room seemed spacious for NYC. The japanese style screens covering up the NYC windows created a nice ambiance.

Great boutique hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Right on Madison, close to Empire State Building. I would highly recommend it. Quaint rooms and great for couples.

Great location! Decent size room for New York. Bathroom was compact. Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the doormen. We were surprised how quiet it was at night. The beds were extremely comfortable. Best sleep I've had in New York! Free internet access. There is a laptop computer at the front desk for guest use. Walking distance to great shopping, restaurants and the Empire State building.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very warm and friendly. We had a wonderful stay in the hotel. Very clean and fresh. It has been recently renovated. What you will enjoy the most is the staff. They are so very professional and help you with directions around the area. We had a great visit.

The hotel staff was helpful and efficient. The rooms were comfortable and well decorated. The location was very convenient. Hotel Roger Williams is conveniently located near the Empire State Building in Manhattan. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly with providing upgrades and luggage check. The rooms were well decorated and cozy. The hotel in general was nicely modern but comfortable, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

This hotel is hip yet homey at the same time. Our room was comfortable and very clean. We loved the bright and cheery decor. The beds were great! Although the bathroom was very small my daughter and I made the space work for us. The staff was very accomodating. Our room was too warm due to unseasonable waether. The front desk was very sympathetic and even sent up a fan. The doormen were very friendly and helpful. Excellent service all around.

Our room #610 was dirty, areas of the room had not been vacuum cleaned in a very long time, it smelled. Construction outside our window made the room very noisy and dusty during the day, and a noisy compressor was left charging all night, outside our window. Change of room requests were denied. Buffet breakfast made us seek. The bed was broken and was never fixed, the springs were noisy woke us up any time we moved in bed during the night. The bathtub had apparently been painted and the paint was peeling making the tub area moldy. It took extreme force to open the water valves in the sink. This hotel does not deserve a four of whatever rating, we have found better two star hotels in african villages.

I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend for a night over the Christmas holiday and it was just wonderful! Everyone there was so friendly and helpful, they really tried to make sure the stay was pleasant! The room was cheery and warm, and not too small! I would definitely stay here again on our next trip!

The hotel is a wonderful place and a great value. The staff and service were excellent, and very polite and helpful. The room, although a bit small, was very comfortable. It had all the amenities anyone could ever need while visiting NYC. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location is good, just a few blocks from MSG, and near subway stations. Some nice restaurants are very close by. I loved the Euro art deco style of the hotel. It was very chic. Great place to stay!!

Great hotel but house keeping started knocking on doors at 8:30am on Saturday morning and 9:30am Sunday morning. You could hear them go from room to room, so it didnt really help that I put my sign on the door asking them to come back later. Staff is great though and the hotel was worth it.

I have stayed at the "Roger" once before, and while it would not be my first choice, it is a perfectly fine hotel. The only real draw back is a very tiny bathroom. It is so small that there is no counter space for make-up or a glass or any of one's necessities. And be careful to keep the toilet lid down because the toilet is actually under what little counter there is and it would be very easy to bump something in. Also the closet space is very limited, too. But on the plus side this was the quietest stay I've ever had in NYC due to the room being in the back. The front staff (especially the doormen) are the most friendly and helpful I've ever experienced in the city.

The personell and staff of this hotel make up for its shortcomings. The room was extremely small, decor was that of the 60's but I believe this was intentional. Our room had orange walls, barely enough room to get around the bed, and a very small bathroom. They only turn on the heat from 11 pm to 4 am, so if you get cold, don't turn on the heat, you'll only get cold air. The staff did bring me a space heater to use, but called me at 11 pm (2 hours after I had gone to bed) to tell me to turn on my heat and turn off the space heater! Overall the staff was excellent and went far beyond the call of duty, but the hotel itself just wasn't up to par.

In a quiet, but convenient location in NYC. Rooms are nicely decorated. By far one one better small hotel room designs.

Great location, near subway, great staff!! I can't think of anything! I really liked it here, the only thing was there was a leak in our room, but they fixed it promptly! Everybody was awesome, and I would definitely stay here again.

Although our room was quite small (expected for NY City), the second room we had reserved for our son was arranged differently and was more spacious. Extremely clean, great beds and pillows and very quiet. The location is mid-town but was a nice walk or short cab ride to Times Square area. Very close to Empire State Bldg and there were several nice restaurants to choose from in close proximity. There is also a subway stop within a couple of blocks. The staff was top notch. They were all extremely courteous, helpful, proficient at their various jobs - just superb in all areas. We will definitely use Hotel Roger Williams for our future NY trips.
