| Excellent position on rablas for shopping, bars and
my room had an excellent outdoor decked garden with table & chairs, a nice touch - but not all rooms have this! |

Our group arrived early and we were able to store our bags until check in at 3 PM. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room over looked La Ramblas and yes it was a little noisy but considering the hotel location acceptable. The breakfast buffet was a little steep so I would recommend one of the fine local cafes for coffee and danish. All in all we could not have been more pleased with our selection of Rivoli Rambla as our hotel.

In my opinion the rooms offered on web site not correspond to the standard quality of the hotel

We were very pleased with the property. It was well maintained and the staff was exceptionally friendly even when working through issues with other irate customers during check in. The location was fabulous right on La Ramblas with a very short walk to a major metro station. I noted the photographs as less than expected because the property was more attractive than the online photos.

On arrival, no apparent booking:then discovered in the fax machine. Quoted different rates and provided lower quality room. Remedied after complaint. Service depended upon if and to whom you complained.

Referring to the noise level, we were in room 702 which had the air-conditioning conduit on the roof above and ran down the side if the balcony. This created a lot of noise especially at night.

This was an excellent hotel, in the perfect position to visit the centre of Barcelona. Despite having a room overlooking the Ramblas, the room was quiet and comfortable. The lifts didn't always work, which could have been irritating if we had been on the 6th floor, but otherwise we had no problems at all.

We were really pleased with our stay at Rivoli. The rooms were immaculate and the staff accommodating. We don't feel the website made it clear that the breakfast wasn't included so at first we were unaware of this, but luckily we were able to get it knocked from the bill thanks to a kind receptionist. (Especially good since we are students!) We were lucky enough to have a room at the back, away from the street and on the top floor, with the sauna and jacuzzi! A very pleasant stay!

Very good hotel within walking distance of many areas of the city. Building work currently ongoing (March 2003) starts each day at 8am - did not really affect our stay as it got us up early to start site seeing!

The hotel was excellent although we were very disappointed that the roof terrace bar wasn't available at the time we were there. There was also some degree of renovation going on at the front of the hotel which did spoil the look of it slightly. Apart from that, a great place to stay.

The central location of the hotel is excellent. The room we had was spacious and clean, although a non-smoking room would have been preferable. The exterior of the building was undergoing refurbishment which restricted the outlook, and overall atmosphere of the hotel. Otherwise very good.

Room was not made up when we arrived at 3.30pm to check in; when it was ready, the towels were dirty and there was a cockroach in the room. It appeared that the hotel was not as clean as it could have been.

The hotel is very central location with access to all forms of transport, shopping and restaurants etc. The accommodation is of a high standard and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend the Hotel Rivoli Ramblas Barcelona to anyone considering a trip to Barcelona.

we reserved a superior double room but were presented with a junior suite upon arrival. as we were in barcelona to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary this was an unexpected and well-received 'present'. the entire stay went well from that moment onwards and we would most definitely use the Hotel Rivoli Ramblas Barcelona again !!
