From Bodmin, follow the Newquay sign along the A30 onto the new dual carriageway. Take the left exit signposted Newquay, following the road into Quintrell Downs. At the roundabout head right and you will eventually come to Henver Road, where you need to head left. Carry on over the double mini-roundabouts and Hotel Riviera is on the right hand side at the junction.

terribleWe arrived to difficulty finding room, tv coulcnt see, springs coming thru mattress, state of bathroom terrible,unclean and scruffy hotel, we didnt stay and asked for refund which they did .This used to be a very upmarket hotel as we use to use this a lot years ago when we had business in Newquay,we understand it is to be closed down in Oct of this year.What a shame to let this good hotel get to this state should have closed long before it got to this.To let a once really lovely hotel get this kind of reputation is such a great pity.

a room with a viewI found the riviera hotel to be a very friendly place to stay. The reception staff were all lovely and very helpful. Although ,on first impression,the hotel looked uncared for, it was very clean and comfortable, with the added bonus of a fantastic view of the sea.

worst 3* hotel i've stayed in the staff are friendly and polite but looking at the website for this hotel you would expect a nice place to stay we were wrong! the carpark was littered with rubbish and food scraps, then you get into the hotel and its like you have stepped into the 1950s very dated hotel. the rooms were in need of a make over and a serious clean. breakfast was nothing to special you would get better food at mc donalds.

BasicTo be fair this Hotel was suppose to be closed this summer, however it opened its doors only 2 weeks ago. The hotel was very dated and lacked any character. The breakfast was a buffet style which was okay but not the best. For the amount of guests that were present it would have been nicer to have waiter/waitress service. Little things were missing like light bulbs in the bedside lamps. The positive point about the hotel was we were placed in a room overlooking the sea and the views were fantastic.

Great Value Hotel! I thought i'd take a bit of a gamble on the Hotel Riviera as there hadn't been any previous reviews and the prices seemed too cheap. I was however pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean throughout and although a bit dated the staff were incredibly friendly and breakfast was excellent. I was upgraded to a sea-view room which overlooked Newquay Bay which was a nice touch. The bathroom was a rather unpleasant avocado colour but clean and well maintained all the same. All in all I found this hotel great value for money and would definitely return.
