Very Convenient for Calais BeachGreat inexpensive hotel with family rooms. Close to beach and Cite d'Europe shoping centre and Eurotunnel. Restuarant and adjoining Kyriad Hotel is friendly and good. Lost of childrens play grounds, mini golf etc nearby. Great for a family weekend break.

It's cheap, clean and convenient for an overnight stay while en route across Europe. We were upgraded to the family room which had a basic kitchenette. The decor is very much in need of renovation, but the price and location were the reason for us choosing this hotel and we weren't disappointed.

This accommodation is really only suitable for an over night stay and the breakfast is not up to much

The room was a bit tired on the decoration side, the bathroom was clean but the bath moved a bit and needed fixing down. The fridge was very noisy and kept us awake for part of the night.

Only in an EmergencyThis hotel can only be described as functional at best, on the plus side my room was clean and had adequate pillows. On the minus side the place is souless, my room had lino floors and with the hotplateand kitchen units in the corner felt like somene has decided to put a bed in the kitchen of a small flat. I have never been to one but it made me think this must be what an open prison is like and the Bed was hard. The hotel is used by the local Gendarme training school to accomodate their staff on courses and it has that sort of blue collar training establishment sort of feel to it. Close to the Ferry port and if you need somewhere to stay over night prior to an early passage it works but dont expect too much.

Excellent value for families and great location. After reading poor reviews i was a bit weary of what to expect, but i had no need to worry.upon arrival , a friendly greeting. A big room with double bed, bunk beds in the passage way, sink area, cooking rings, fridge ,plenty of storage space and t.v. separate bath and toilet areas.Ideal for travelling with 2 youngsters ages 6 and 8, the girls loved the bunks and the big space. We only stayed overnight, but would have coped with longer, especially with having the kitchen area. Plenty of parking outside and around the back.Area seemed safe and we could see the car through the window.Breakfast highly recommended, well worth it in a clean pleasant dining area.Close to the sea front , though we heard the fog horn as it was a foggy night, but managed to sleep fine. All clean and comfy.SUITABLE FOR FAMILIES ON A BUDGET , CLOSE ACCESS TO MOTORWAYS AND TUNNEL!

A bit of a walk out of town but friendly and room was fine for an overnight stay. Not a luxury hotel but good value for money. Decent breakfast and the restaurant next door was quite good.

No frills budget hotel perfect for overnight before ferry sailing (port only 10 minutes away).

After a long drive up from central France we arrived at the hotel, which was hard to find amongst the grubby high-rises and the Blackpool-esque seafront of Calais. It felt rather unsafe in the car park at the back of the hotel and the local park had glass in the sand. The receptionist was friendly enough and helpful. Our room was on the 2nd floor and the hotel doesn't have a lift - hard work with 2 small children and bags. The reception area is ok but from there in it is scruffy with an office-style carpet and a general smell of damp and uncleanliness. Our room was basic and floored with lino throughout. There were bunk beds in the entrance hall, off which were the toilet (the door only opened past the toilet itself with a shove), and bathroom, which included very basic toiletries, a general feeling of decay and a loose light switch. The main bedroom also included a kitchenette with electric hob which our 1 year old son kept turning on, cupboards which didn't shut properly and a hideous, enormous grey desk/table straight from the 1960s. The cot provided had a hole in the side and wasn't made up with bedding, although this was provided. We left that same night and headed straight for the tunnel (luckily getting the last space on a train on a busy weekend), to the safety of the Holiday inn Express in Folkestone - far cheaper (its price includes breakfast but the Hotel du Golf's doesn't) and worlds apart in terms of cleanliness and service. I would recommend continuing your journey and doing the same rather than stop off in Calais - or find an alternative hotel out of Calais itself. We did not get our money back but it was worth the extra time and expense. Unless you don't mind spending lots of money on very basic accomodation I would recommend you steer well clear of this grubby hotel.

The hotel reception closed at 11.00pm ansd as we arrived on a late ferry we could not get in. a sign refered us to the hotel next door which was also closed. Fortunatly another customer arrived with their code to open the door and haltingly let us in where we found a key to our room in an envelope. So all was well in the end but if they had not come we would be without a room.

Hotel seen better days, unhelpful staff, no night porter, no lift, basic breakfast, mouldy bathroom, cramped toilet, I've stayed in better travelodges.
