Expensive, but adequate, overnight stay at the SeasideOur check-in process was very pro-tracted, with the Receptionist seeming to be fairly incompetent; there were 3 in our party, so we had booked one twin and one single, but they couldn't find the single, having found the twin but mistaken it as a single to start off with (not sure how ?)......there were 3 staff on Reception at the same and just us 3, but we were kept waiting for ages. Both bedrooms were in the original building (this hotel is a hotch potch of many different extensions to the original building) and both were a good size. The bedroom furniture is very B&B in its style, being pine and on the smallish size. Whilst we didn't try the food, the menu looked inviting. We were attending a party locally and the locals certainly talk fondly of the Rembrant as it holds lots of functions, although apparently many of the bedrooms in the newer extensions are "travelodge" in their nature ie very basic. The cost of the one night stay for the 3 of us was £190, which I thought was extortionate for a day away at the Seaside in a standard 3 star hotel.

The evening menu was too repetative and could do with more changes. However, apart from that the quality was not bad for the star rating of the hotel.

The hotel was lovely very nicely located near to the beach in Weymouth. Very clean throughout, staff very pleasent, cannot comment on food as never ate here. Only one complaint the walls are paper thin. I was kept awake most of the night due to people walking on the floor above us, they were not being noisy just to paper thin floorboards.

overnight stayThe room was more than adequate for just one night. Very pleased that the hotel provided an continental breakfast even at 0500hrs. However our neighbours were noisey and we could hear all that was going on - television , talking, laughing , snoring etc. rather off putting especially as we needed a good nights sleep prior to an early start. The position was excellent for the ferry terminal and seaside.

Stopped one night in the hotel - arrived 8pm ish, and left 9.00, so didn;t see too much of it. Leisure centre closed, but i was warned about it so no problem. The bar/restauramt was fine, normal pub type settings. The hotel seemd to cater for large coach parties of older clientele. Room was quite small, and mine was on the main road frontage which was quite noisy when i had the window open (no air conditioning). Room cost £50, and alternative was Premier Inn at £75. Avergae hotel, and at £50 couldn't grumble,

A Short BreakWe booked the hotel at the last minute and chose it because of the competetive price. The hotel in general and our room could be described as adequate but boring. The hotel could really do with a facelift to make it more welcoming rather than the bare and bland walls in the restaurant and bar. On the up side, all of the staff were really friendly and helpful.

Do visitWe have already sent a letter to the Rembrant congratulating them on how all the staff conducted themselves, it was so very pleasant, everyone made you feel very welcome, we enjoyed our stay, although only two days, very much.

overnight stay at the RembrantThe Rembrant is a 3 star hotel - and quite a large one. The greeting upon arrival was 100% - great smile and welcome from the daytime reception staff. Very helpful, with lts of local knowledge and tips about Weymouth. We checked in at 11.30am - but the room was not available till 2.00pm - however we were offered the hotels facilities and our luggage securly stored. Our only critique for the \"welcome\" was a single member of staff we encountered later in the day, who perhaps had had a \"long day\".... however, ALL other staff ( including the domestics) were very very friendly and helpful. The Hotel is clean and well presented, ideal for a short break. Our room was well appointed, clean and the bathroom excellent - lots of towels and toiletries available. As a family with a five year old , the room was perfect. The indooor pool is just right for families - safe and secure with dedicated staff on hand. The bar area is small - if the hotel is busy, as on our stay, it can fill quickly. The evening meal ( Carvery) was very good, with a good selection of dishes available - dont expect al-carte - its wholesome and theres plenty. The resturant staff were particularly helpful - they could teach some much larger 5 star hotels staff a trick or two!!Breakfast was a generous offering of traditional fare - something for everyone. The hotels location is very conveniant for the beach area and central Weymouth - both can be reached in a pleasant 10 minute walk - or theres the well used buses.Plenty of on site parking - even for minibuses. The price was reasonable - especially as booking through LateRooms.com gave us a discount on the room rate.

Good Accommodation and great value for moneyFriendly and helpful staff. Good standard of accomodation and the only problem was the choice of viewing on the television. (This was because the hotel was changing over to didgital).Reasonable breakfast, but I think the dinner was a little bit on the expensiv e side, Otherwise great value for money and I would recommend it to anyone for either an overnight stay or longer.

Excellent ValueThis hotel is the best value hotel I have ever stayed at - excellent well furnished room, good full breakfast, thoughtfull staff and wonderful leisure facilities. Also has plentifull car parking.A past complaint about lack of TV programmes has been rectified with the introduction of digital TV and Freeview.Of course it is not a 5* Hotel - but then it does not charge 5* prices!

Bank Holiday BreakWe stayed at this hotel over the May bank holiday weekend. We booked this last minute and got a great deal. The hotel is modern, lovely decorated and very pleasant. They offer an extensive menu including a carvery which is very good value for money. The swimming pool is a good size and warm enough for very small children. They offer a whole range of beauty services, on this occasion I did not book any but fully intend to return at some point to use these services. The room was spacious and comfortable. This is situated very close to the train station and the esplandade, just a short 10 minute walk to each.

An excellent hotel all round, made even better by the fantastic Laterooms rate I paid.I have stayed in many hotels in lots of towns & cities over the years, and I have to say this hotel in terms of value and the overall experience has to be ight up at the top.The hotel is well located and is just the right size.Cleanliness was excellent, and the room a very good size with a great bathroom. The staff were extremely helpful, very courteous and couldn,t do enough for me.The food was good in the evening in a nice size lounge area overlooking the pool complex, and the breakfast was of the highest quality with a fantastic choice.Overall, a very pleasant experience and I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone.
