There is a construction on the street. Breakfast as available only for extra 15 Euros per person, and it is over priced. Also it is not clear when making reservation if breakfast is included in the price of hotel.

Rooms are basic refurbished rooms, however they are comfortable and clean . Good wardrobe space. Mini bar with reasonable prices, bathroom comfortable size with good shower. Safe which will work with use of your laser/credit card (means you cannot keep all cards in safe) Hotel lobby, bar and cafe great meeting point, busy with a buzz. Friendly staff. . Excellent location - across road from Metro Seville - and less 5 mins walk to Sol and 7 mins approx to Playa Mayor. Breakfast is worth booking, hot and cold selection with many little extras in nice setting. Hotel Porters very friendly and helpful. This was sencond time at this hotel and I would stay again.

The location of this hotel is unbeatable. It is right outside the metro station of Seville on the beautiful Alcala street, minutes away from Sol, the old city, the museums and Chueca. However, I would not rate this as a four star hotel. The bed was rather small and does not look anything like the pictures would make you believe. The rooms are basic but clean. The staff was rather rude and unresponsive. The hot breakfast included with the hotel was not bad with enough selections and fresh food and drinks.

Hands down, the friendliest and most helpful staff I have ever encountered in Spain, and indeed all of Europe! Indeed, the service was befitting a much higher star hotel (Hint: a two or three Euro tip to the bellman on day one will get you VIP treatment for the rest of your stay). The rooms are also the largest I have ever encountered in Europe for the price range although walls are kind of thin. The hotel was going through refurbishment when I stayed there, and I spent nights in both a completed and undone room. The refurbished rooms are really nice with hardwood floors. These room were immaculent. The unrefurbished ones are a major step down. And, I could not have asked for a better location. My only complaint is that in requesting adjacent rooms, the hotel management somehow deemed it okay for one of those rooms to be no larger than a walk-in closet although they were the same price. I requested to move and was placed in an unrefurbished room. It was much larger, but quite a step down with old carpet, stained sinks, etc. But a great kudos to the staff for trying their best to accommodate me, and it's notable that they stayed professional and never got a bad attitude about it.

a lovely hotel in the centre of madrid, rooms were nice some had been re-decorated and others waiting to be completed, We were a group of 6, in 3 rooms. It is easy walking distance to the local restaurants/attractions ect. City tour bus stop 50M from hotel. Underground parking opposite hotel, 30 euros approx. for overnight parking. driving in madrid a nightmare but we survived.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Regina for 3 nights last weekend and we were delighted with every aspect of the Hotel. We travelled from the airport on the metro to Sevilla and when we came out of the station the hotel was directly in front of us. Excellent location, room was clean, staff at the desk, in the restaurant, cleaning staff and porters were all very pleasant and helpful. We loved Madrid and intend on returning and will definately choose the Regina Hotel as our base. I have already recommended the hotel to fellow work colleagues who plan on taking a trip to Madrid.

Great hotel near the metro. I stayed away from there restaurant due to the price. The is a local place which is great for breakfast right next door. Starbucks is 2-3 doors away. There are many tapa bars withing an easy walk. Full restaurants are harder to find so as for help from the hotel staff. Don't miss the nicely furnished common area on the E level.

We booked this hotel for a hen weekend and was surprised at just how good a location it was in. It wasn't far to walk to the shops, restaurants or bars. The sightseeing bus to the Bernabau stopped a few hundred yards up the road and the historic bus stopped a few hundred yards down the road... just perfect! The breakfast was nice, a hot buffet with bacon, egg, sausage, toast, criossants, ham & cheese, fruit... a really good selection! The rooms were also clean and spacious. Ours had a balcony overlooking the front of the hotel, which was nice, but not all the rooms had this. I will definitely stay here again!!!

PROS: location is very central, metro station literally outside the door and Piaza del Sol is 5 min. walk. Plaza Mayor 10 minutes, Prado museum 15 min. Our room was HUGE (2 double beds + 1 single bed in a separate sitting area) and recently renovated so no smoking odor. CONS: our room rate did not include breakfast so cannot comment on that. Parking is very expensive (€28/day in the city underground garage across the street). Fortunately, we found all-day free street parking near the Principe Pio metro station. Staff could be a bit more friendly. You cannot request a non-smoking room because anyone is allowed to smoke in any room (by law I think). Lobby can become smoky at times.

Great location. I always stay here with my wife. Depending on dates, can be exceptional value. Some people have said staff can be off-hand but I have never found that. I left something after me once and dropped in a month later and the staff went to trouble to locate it. I always recommend it when asked for advice. Bar food is expensive but you are surrounded by "nine million tapas bars in Madrid".....or was that bicycles???

The most impressive aspect of the Regina is the unerring attentiveness of the personnel: sensible, prompt, always at the ready but not fawning. I stayed in three different rooms, and the quality varied from one to another, but, all in all, this hotel is a very good deal.

Public areas, foyer etc. were very nice but room was very small and dark and stuck at back of hotel. Window looked out over vent from kitchen so room had bad smell.
