I and my companions first stayed at the Hotel Rabat in November,last year and it was considered poor to average and expensive. Foolishly I alone decided to stay there again in January. They call themselves a five star hotel. The only thing five star was the pricing. Room was disgusting. The carpet was badly stained and worn. The bathroom was mouldy on the floor and around the base of the walls. Service was terrible and when the General Manager was present, service went to zero because all waiters were hovering around him and other guests were ignored. Buffet. The cold breakfast buffet was Ok, but the hot was disgusting. The small sausages were overcooked and hard. The scrambled egg was terrible. Internet Access, very sparse. No tea / coffee making facilities in the room. No iron or ironing board in the room.

Great location! Short walk to most sights and the Medina. Rooms easily accessed by elevators and stairs. Excellent breakfast buffet.

Hotel Rabat is truly different in terms of its boat shaped design and interior decor. Good location (in city centre), friendly staff, breakfast is always the same everyday though. Limited dining choices at the Hotel itself. There is one 'international' restaurant, but all they serve is French cuisine (with a limited menu at that). But there are tons of other restaurants within a 2km distance. My only complaint was that there was no clock in the room. I did not get one even after requesting one, they probably just don't have them. The amenities are also limited. Had a pleasant stay otherwise.

Hotel Rabat was very nice, accommodating, and friendly place to stay. We had 2 separate stays during our visit (left for a week for side trips)and found everyone even friendlier and more accommodating upon our return. The rooms were large, as was the bathroom, with adequate space for hanging clothes and storing luggage. The food was wonderful and varied and the staff was most helpful. Upon our arrival, we wanted to locate an ATM machine but hadn't quite got our bearings yet - one of the staff actually walked with us to show us the exact location of a nearby ATM machine! We were in Rabat for a family gathering so we came and went at all hours and no matter the time of day, they were most pleasant and helpful.
