Enjoyed a lovely couple of days staying at the Opera Frochot. Perfect for both business and PleasureI was on a trip to Paris for work but spent an extra night to enjoy Paris.Hotel receptionist when we arrived was very friendly and helpful.Room exactly as the photos on the website.Very clean, great shower, good espresso machine in the room.Location good, very handy. Easily made our way around Paris. When checking out, the guy on reception didn't give the best customer service but that seems to be the standard of some Parisians.

Very nice rooms, slightly small but perfect and much nicer than any other hotel we have stayed in in Paris (and only cost us slightly more). No floral bed covers and no dodgy bathrooms with avocado suites. We had a great few days and the area did not put us off at all. Brill time had by both.

Yes this is a red light district, so as other reviewers have said, probably unsuitable for younger children; but it is a great place to stay. Our room was a little smaller than the pictures imply, but clean and cute. Great value, quite noisy in the morning so make sure the A/C is working so you don't need to have the windows open... Easy to get to everywhere, Metro close by, and great value.

It should ne made clear that this hotel is in the red light district of Paris.

Having booked a double executive room we were most disappointed to be told that there was only a twin available (especially on our anniversary), when we complained the staff, particularly the directing manager was very rude and advised that he would be happy for us to leave and find another hotel. The following night we were moved into a double, but unfortuantely this had no air con, no bath, no safe and no coffee making facilities despite us paying more for an executive room, so we then had to move again on the following night. Moving rooms was inconvineant and costly of our time in paris, the manager complained that moving was an expense to the hotel, but had they have put us in a double we wouldn't have had to move. awful hotel, awful service, do not recommend.

Everything really looks just like on photos, exept maybe a bit smaller. The rooms are quite small, but tastefull and clean. Private bathroom is very ok - Villeroy&Boch sink and grohe´s equpiment. It leaves a very polite memory.Breakfast is 10Euros, but there are more than enough food - croissants, camembert, yogurt, cereals, white bread, fruit salad, juice, tea, coffee, hot chocolate. The only thing which could be a problem for someone is that it is REALLY in red light district, but in 5 days i didnt see anyhing obsene. There were many french people with children stayng there. The location is OK, in monmantre, Pigalle station is very close. if u want to be closer to the centre, then u maybe want to get other hotel, but all´n´all it is pleasant hotel.

Beautifully decorated rooms, small but not uncomfortable. While it is true that this hotel is in the red light district, we did not feel unsafe or that the area was seedy.

This hotel was very near the metro so easy to get around as the metro had 2 lines. nice and close to a lovely place to eat breakfast. The rooms where clean and up to date. It is in the centre of the red light disrict but is very friendly. I would stay here next time.

Positive aspects first- The staff are lovely, very helpful and polite. They can speak English very well but they are also patient with those of us that are trying to practice our French. When we first arrived we asked to change rooms and this was not a problem we also left our luggage there on the day we were leaving so that we could go site seeing, they didn't charge us.On the negative side - (maybe this isn't a negative point for some) It is right in the middle of the red light district, definately not suitable for families with children! The rooms are lovely but the hotel is still under referbishment, we were woken up two out of three mornings by hammering and drilling however, we are not particularly early risers. The hotel is a lot smaller than it looks in the pictures, the rooms are quite small, slightly dissappointing really. The lift and corridors are a bit seedy looking. At the moment there is a very strong smell of paint throughout which can give you a bit of a headache but i'm guessing this will go when the refit is finished. A lot of the facilities mentioned are not offered, tea and coffee making facilities, ironing board and iron. This hotel has the potential to be very cosy, it is affordable and friendly......it's just not finished!

The hotel is close to the Pigalle Metro stop and easily accessible. There are a number of \"red light\" bars on the same street, which possibly makes the hotel not suitable for a family. The quality of the room was excellent with contemporary decor and an LCD TV. The sound proofing between rooms was poor however, and we were woken one night by voices from the adjoining room. Staff were friendly and helpful (and spoke English).Overall we were very happy with our decision to stay here, for the price it was excellent.
