A short stay, but good experience

value for moneyHad to wait a long while to gain access to car park as barrier not working and our help call was not being acknowledged. Had to pay £7 parking for day (didnt expect that) Room good size but basic, bathroom toiletries very disappointing. Breakfast good. Reception staff very helpful and pleasant. Position great for town access. Had I have paid full price would be very disappointed

lovely and cleanlovely and clean..great value for money...my 13 yr old was very disappointed at the pool as was i..does not look anything like the photos..its like a paddling pool..3 strokes and you have done a length..lol

Late booking Sheffield NovatelThe whole process was very efficient, the breakfast was excellent, the room was spacious and clean. The 2 day weekend break was excellent value.

Good friendly hotel with valueThe staff at this hotel were are quite friendly, especially the girls at the breakfast. The stay was quite comfy. Although each item is separately chargeable like the broadband. Wifi is only at the lobby. All the staff are friendly and helpful, like upon chekin we wanted a change of some pillows that were over used, this was promptly done with fresh covers etc. Child bed was made up prefessionally.

weekend breakThis hotel is very centrally placed for shopping and the railway station. The family room, consisting of a generous sized double bed and sofa bed, was very clean with very good facilities. A good choice of food for the inclusive breakfast and we had one dinner which was excellent and reasonable value, although drinks are fairly pricey. The swimming pool, although fairly small, was really warm and relaxing. Car parking at the hotel is limited and chargeable and we had difficulty finding a space on the first evening due to late arrival but reception staff found us a space. Staff were all very helpful and friendly.

Great location for a good weekend awayWe stayed at the Novotel for a weekend in July. The hotel is very nice and modern and right in the centre so it is ideal for exploring or a night out. Car park is under the hotel and is £7 a night. Our room was modern and had everything you need for a quick stay- they have obviously updated the rooms recently but not the carpets, which looked a little bit old. Breakfast had a good selection- full English breakfast (left out a little too long), yoghurts, fresh fruits, fruit salad, cereal etc. We didnt use the pool, although it did look nice. I would definately stay at the Novotel again on returning to Sheffield.

Stayed for w/end while traveling to watch English Schools at Don Valley Stadium. Would recommend, v central, helpful staff, upgraded to superior room at no extra charge. Good buffet b'fast. Car park at hotel wasn't busy and £7 for 24 hours.

Weekend in SheffieldThe room seemed clean (there was a wrapper under the bed though) however due to the recent heatwave the room was very hot and there was no air conditioning even though the LateRooms website said there was. I was told when arrived that the hotel was having a refit, (you would expect winter to be a good time to fit Air Con rather than during the summer months) we was (after having to ask) given a fan to circulate the hot air.The view was of 2 apartment block building site, though cant blame Novhotel you would think they would update there site to reflect no Air Con and this info, rather than the 'Sheffield Views!'

Decent hotel for the priceStayed at this hotel for a concert in Sheffield last Saturday.On the plus side I would say the location is excellent and the main reception and bar area look excellent. The room itself was average with a charming view of a building site!!!The car park is tiny and akward due to numerous stantions and the pool / gym facilities are poor.

A Great StayA lovely place for a family in the City to stay, Breakfast was great and service really friendly.Room was spotless and we were not disturbed by any noise even though groups of lads and ladies were staying for a football convention.

excellent valueThe novotel in Sheffield for £49 per room per night including breakfast. It looked too good to be true but when we arrived it soon became clear that this was just a great value offer. Service was very friendly throughout and it was a good family base right in the middle of the town centre. The food was excellent at breakfast and we would recommend the hotel again.

very good location very rude restaurant staff spoiled what would have been an excellent weekendrestaurant opens at 07:00am on weekend but my son was playing in an ice hockey tournament and our first game was at 07:00am so asked on reception if we could go down for an early breakfast, was told no problem, however the surly and rude attitude of the blonde lady setting out the tables was totally unacceptabe in an hotel of this quality and we ended up with a bowl of cereal begrudgingly allowed by blonde lady.......!! Otherwise an excellent hotel.

RecommendedWe have stayed at this hotel several times and would definitely recommend it. It is very close to the city centre and close to all the theatres. There is an excellent Italian restaurant at the rear of the hotel if you want to stay close by.

Bank Holiday BreakWe booked the Novotel for a quick Bank holiday break to see Family in Sheffield. The hotel lobby is gorgeous and very modern with a great pool and lovely restaurant. They were very understaffed while we were staying but they where still polite, helpful and efficient. The rooms where a little dissappointing though. After the first impressions of the hotel lobby the rooms seemed quite boring... however, they where equipped fine.The deal through Late Rooms was brilliant though and I would certainly come back.

Review of Novotel in SheffieldI would Highly recommend the Novotel in Sheffield. It was very easy to find and is located very close to the winter gardens and train station.The staff were very polite and helpful and the hotel was very clean and classy.My only complaint is that the breakfast was rather expensive at £15 per person for a cooked breakfast considering my fried egg had quite a lot of egg-shell in it. Aside from the egg shell the breakfast was nice but just an average full English. As for the food in the resteraunt I can't comment as we didn't eat there during our stay, although the resteraunt did look really nice. With the exception of the egg shell in the breakfast, the rest of the stay was superb. I'll definitely stay at the Novotel again in the future.

Saturday Night Stop Novotel Sheffield.Very good value through Late rooms. My eldest daughter was at Ponds Forge Swimming we normally stay at the Travel lodge opposite but thanks to Late rooms offer the Novotel came within our family budget. My wife and younger daughter were able to lie in on the Sunday morning and enjoy the indoor pool. All amenities were close on hand with only a short walk to Ponds Forge. Staff at the hotel made us feel welcome. We have tried Late Room offers before and have normally a had good experience using them. I would definitely try this hotel again if I could get another offer through using late rooms.
