Novotel ReadingRooms were comfortable and spacious. We stayed in a family room with sofa bed. Using the hotel as a base we didn't much time there but the swimming pool was a big hit with my son and not too cold. Being 1.5m deep the whole way across meant i can easily stand. The only drawback I would mention is that the rooms were very warm, although the safety leashes on the window where nice to see, this did mean only a small slither of air could be let in. The room was well cleaned and we arrived very early, the hotel accomodated this will no problems and the service was excellent. All staff where polite and friendly. I would stay here again but being in the center of town is more suited as a base to visit other places rather than a relaxing family retreat. For our purposes this was fine.

Super helpful staff, great hotel, very central, quiet rooms, car parking could be better. Looks like a proper dodgy cra park, but security was very visible and my car was still there in the morning so all good!! :)

Good value for moneyPaid £75 for a Friday night. Good deal - helpful staff, clean and modern hotel with pool although didn't get a chance to use it. Great central location between town and station. Would recommend.

Inconsistent serviceBooking through late rooms was very easy. Reception staff were helpful on the phone when I called to check the booking. Greeting on arrival and checking in was terrible. I was greeted by security who was very rude. The Duty Manager was not helpful either. Shower was cold throughout the visit, I was not offered an alternative room. Hair dryer did not work, i had to ask for spare. Most staff were unfriendly and not at all proactive. Breakfast staff however were excellent.

The staff were extremely helpfull allowing us to check in early. We left early to catch a train and staff ensured we had something for breakfast despite breakfast not being served untill an hour later.

Novotel ReadingA good hotel, excellent location. Room was comfortable and clean but fairly small. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The hotel bar was very expensive, the cheapest bottle of wine was £34.

Reasonable - make sure you read the small printMy friend and i both booked through late rooms for the course we were on. For some reason one room had breakfast included and the other did not - on the same price room!

An enjoyable stayMy sister booked this hotel for me as a birthday present. The hotel is modern, clean and spacious. The pool is lovely - well-worth making time to go for a swim in the morning. It was also nice to have the option of a late check-out at no extra charge.

Excellent hotelThis is the 5th or 6th time we have stayed at the hotel. Its very central, staff are friendly and extremely helpful, breakfast was excellent. The only negative point was the room being so hot, there is a fan near the ceiling which you can set to cool, however this didnt help at all. Apart from that , this is a perfect hotel and meets our needs. Great price too!
