Terrible experience! Horrible room and expensive, I travel alot and a motel would have been better, extremely small room, safe was broken, light bulbs not working, no amenities at all except a coffee maker, I expected much more for the price. The continental breakfast a disgrace!!! Undersized muffins piled in a bowl uncovered, no hot water for tea, you have to flag someone down, (I was told that is for safety reasons so no one burns themselves) LOL, makes no sense since, is coffee not hot as well! They have pitchers of milk and the half and half is hidden behind something so you dont use it! They have to fetch the water for you which seems like a century before they SAUNTER back with it 10 minutes later! Cold cereal and those horrible pre-packaged disgusting danish you would find in some old motel hell vending machine. The hostess or whoever she is, says when you arrive, we have the continental breakfast but you can ask for a menu if you like (9 bucks for french toast, nothing goes with that)Check in was frantic and they claimed they didnt have our reservation, I read terrible things about this hotel on the websites I visited but I tend not to believe the horror stories thinking its some sort of competition nor have I ever written a review, this is my first!! The staff stands around one biting her nails and looking bored and others when you ask a question look at you, like, huh, are you talking to me! Trust me dont go here, you will be very very dissapointed if you expect elegance, ughhhh! The bed is horrible and is like laying on a slab of wood, when I complained to the kid at the desk (and yes the place is run by children) he just said oh sorry, no one ever complained before, we even noticed that queen is not queen size its a double bed, big difference. I heard others complaining as well. BTW there were stains all over the carpet! YUCK! I also thought leaving one piece of chocolate on the bed for two people is very weird and it tasted old! I didnt eat at the resta

Location and accommodations. Did not have free internet did not have channel guide. I liked the hotel. I would like to see internet access free and a better TV channel service quide. I would also like to have been able to find in the room things to do, see and places to eat so we could make choices and know what was available in the area.

For Christmas I went on line and bought tickets for my husband and I at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton. I decided that it would be nice to spend the night there as well so I checked Trip Advisor reviews for hotels in the area and booked a room at Hotel Northampton. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas and I knew right away that I had chosen well. Unfortunately the hotel had lost my reservation, but there were still rooms available - and I paid 10 less than the original cost! My husband and I enjoy staying in some of the historical hotels around the country so we have a fairly good idea what to expect. While I wouldn't say the Hotel Northampton was the best we have ever stayed in, it was definately comfortable and cozy. The staff couldn't have been any nicer. Being situated in downtown Northampton was a definate plus. We were able to walk to the Iron Horse and enjoyed shopping in some of the unique shops that make up downtown Northampton. I would stay there again, no question about that.

One of the best locations in Northampton. Hallway noise can be a bit much depending upon room location and rooms do vary quite a bit. We have requested a different room on several occasions. Complimentary breakfast in the morning has become very poor compared to what it used to be. Rates have been going up considerably the last couple of years so we do not stay there as often as we once did.

The feel of the place is wonderful. Clean, quaint, Close to everything. Great robes, too. I've run conferences at the hotel Northampton before and had a fine experience but never stayed in one of their rooms before last weekend. We loved it. The place is old in a good way, clean, perfectly located and the people who work there are very efficient and professional.
