Hotel staff were exceptionally professional, helpful and courteous. Enjoyed the morning coffee, afternoon lemonade and the physical fitness facilities. Hotel is located in a very rich and diverse area of town, close to the river; as well as to the DC Metro line. The only downside was a very noisy Saturday night/Sunday morning in our hallway with inconsiderate guests talking very loudly.

Close to historic center and beautifully decorated/furnished rooms.

This hotel used to be a Holiday Inn -- the hotel is limited by that configuration. Monaco has tried to make it a boutique hotel and have done a pretty good job, but it is not a four star hotel. I would give it three stars. Other than that, they try hard, did a good job, and we were quite satisfied with staff, location, and cleanliness.

Totally exceeded expectation. Alittle further from the center of town than led to believe. Liked it. Would potentially stay there again. Was a little disappointed that it was not as close to the center of Georgetown than I was lead to believe/would have preferred.

The staff was always very friendly. It was nice to be greeted at the door every time you walked in. The location was great for getting around Alexandria. The room was large and the plasma tv was very nice. Very comfortable bed.

The room was nicely furnished, clean and comfortable. Too many problems. We had several problems with our room that went uncorrected. First the TV did not work and it took may requests and until the third night of a 4 night stay to get a remedy then we had to move to another room. The refrigerator did not work and it took repeated requests and two days to get another one. The pool was not open until 5:00 PM! Newspaper delivered only one day out of four. The high speed Internet did not work. The telephone message light blinked without any messages and repeated attempts to have this fixed did not get the problem corrected. Other that, a delightful stay. The staff seemed to be trying to get things corrected but did not seem to be empowered by the hotel.

This is a delightful hotel -- classy and comfortable. Two things stand out: the room was wonderful with lots of space, a comfy bed, a chaise lounge, great desk area, lots of lighting, and nice bathroom (room's only negative: noisy air conditioner), and the hotel staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. While the other Alexandria hotels are 15 blocks away (near the Metro station), this hotel is right in the middle of the historic district, close to great restaurants and shops, the Torpedo Art Center, and the riverfront. We used the free trolley to ride to the Metro (short taxi ride in the am before the trolley begins service at 11:30 am) and the hotel's free shuttle to return to Reagan National airport. This hotel convinved me: I will ldefinitely ook for Kimpton hotels in the future!

The hotel is very clean and in a great location. There are a ton of shops and restaurants on King Street and the metro stop is about a mile away for easy quick travel into DC. I would definitely stay here again.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean, spacious room. Priceline gave us our money's worth. Clean, spacious room. Nicely decorated lobby. Friendly, helpful staff.

Sharp little hotel, great location, very friendly staff. Best hotel in the neighborhood, in walking distance to the entire neighborhood. Classic Kimpton style.

Great location, you can walk to the Metro and any kind of food you want. Very comforable hotel with a very professional staff. You won't go wrong with staying here.

Unusual and exciting decor. Friendly, helpful staff; great decor. Parking is accessible (in case you left something) and valet or park yourself is $20.00. Within walking distance to Potomac and metro. Can ride trolley for free. Plenty of shopping, good restaurants and entertainment nearby.

Everything was great about our stay, however, the parking situation wasn't the best due to the fact that we had to pay for parking. There was a charge for both self park and valet. Don't get me wrong, the valet service and staff were top notch, but the fact that we had a vehicle, there is a charge to park either way. Limited parking is always understandable, but the fee was unexpected. Great service and great stay, but if you have a vehicle you will have to pay for parking.

staff helped us repack our car for our trip home! Was a beautiful hotel! One of the prettiest I have ever stayed at. They gave us a nice room with a view. Staff was very friendly. Had everything in the bathroom that we needed. Was the prettiest bathroom and biggest we have ever stayed in as far as a hotel goes! Beautiful Lobby with a warm fireplace. Right in the heart of Olde Towne, Alexandria!

It was a quick trip to visit relatives, so we did not use all of the services. The staff was friendly and helpful. Having parking, including valet parking available in Alexandria was a real plus. It is convenient to other transportation if we had wanted to see the sights. We were disappointed in the restaurant at dinner, though we had been told it was reasonably priced for the area and had good food.

Great decoration, superb restaurant and great location. Did not include breakfast in fare. The location was better than comparable four stars in old town Alexandria. Truly extraordinary restaurant. Overall great value! Personal items left at the hotel, were found and shipped at no cost to me.

from check in to check out the staff goes out of its way to insure that your stay is problem free. Beautiful rooms, excellent staff, great location. We go to Alexandria 2-3 times a year to enjoy the history and would not think of staying elsewhere. It is located right in the heart of Old Alexandria and within walking distance of everything.

I was impressed with the decor and cleanliness of the hotel. I was surprised to see this quality. The counter space in the bathroom was very small and not very user friendly. Excellent hotel in both location and appeal. Easy access to local attractions and restaurants. The hotel was decorated lavishly and smelled clean and fresh. The staff was pleasant, friendly and very helpful. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Alexandria area and will return on our next stay.
