OKTypical Melia resort hotel - ok. We booked a junior suite/seaview so that was great - there is NO information in the room at all.....on breakfast times/check out etc thats a little frustrating! Parking is hard and expensive.

Very nice hotel, would definately recommend it! Only thing is that they're very much about business-travelers and less about leisure. But you have the wonderful views, the marvelous breakfast, clean rooms, friendly staff, the beach, the sea, a very beautiful, lively town... So what else do you need?

room probon arrival at the melia the reception insisted on giving me and my husband a standard room although i knew i had booked the level .. still wasnt happy later so i went back to reception and asked again got room changed at 7pm .not at all happy as we had missed drinks and snacks all day on the level that we had effectively paid for . i feel i should be comensated for this in some way . language is a barrier when it suits the staff !! have stayed at the melia b4 and had a room prob .not good enough...

This is an amazing hotel. Our only problem was with the billing which did not show the deposit we paid with you. I queried it with the hotel and they said they had no record. On our return I emailed for clarification and they replied that the deposit had been taken into account. The bill did not show it at all.

Spaciuos room, great view from terrace, staff has a lot to learnThe room (or rather the rooms) was very nice (junior suite) with two bathrooms. Breakfast with great choices was included in the price. We knew this, laterooms.com knew it, but nobody at the hotel seemed to realize it. I had to show my papers three times to prove my case. We got our breakfast, but it was without a sorry or a regretting smile. The total lack of charm and common politeness represented by the staff was the biggest problem at this hotel.

I booked this last minute and was very surprised when I got there. I was in a room on The Level with a dedicated check in, free breakfast and a fantastic room with a view over the harbour. It was reasonably priced and apart from the building works opposite I would definitely stay there again.

Supper HotelYou will not be disapointed here it is central to every thing.The No 30 bus from the airport stops at the end of the road. 1.25 Euro only

Wake-up callWe asked for a wake-up call at 6H15 to don't miss our flight connection from Alicante to Madrid and after Madrid to Canada. Not doneWe used our blackberry as a back up...A chance...

A good hotelThe family suite was great, consisting of a double bedroom with en-suite, single bedroom, living room with a double sofa bed and a seperate bathroom. It was clean and right beside the beach. It's a shame there's no hotel parking - allow 18 euros a day for a private car park beside the hotel. Unfortunately the pool was closed as we went in the low season and there were no reductions to use their spa pool which meant a costly dip for the kids!

Though a big concrete development aimed more at business guests, we went as a couple and had a really good time - it's right on the beach in the centre of town (ask for a sea-view), the breakfast is vast and tasty, and we had no issues with service at all. Also the bus from the airport stops 2 minutes from the entrance. You pay extra for the pool, spa, and gym (though there is a free tiny gym). The outdoor pool and jacuzzi on the first floor seemed always to be in the shade (and too cold to swim in) when we went (November).

The breakfast in the hotel was excellent, but for €19 you would expect it be, however this was included in the price. We wanted a special evening so booked a junior suite and I have to say we have stayed in better rooms for a lot less. The jaccuzi bath didn't work and the shower pressure was low. The 'Private Terrace' was a normal sized balcony, the was only one armchair in the room, so whilst watching TV one of us had to lie on the bed.On the plus side, the view from the room was terrific
