the hotel felt more like a hostal than a hotel.

BarcelonaThe hotel is in the centre of Barcelona and the most sights are in walking distance. The breakfast is simple but good. In the room you can hear the noise of the street.

Great Location, but a bit pricey...Booked this hotel on the basis of it being completely central to the main attractions of the city. It overlooks the Plaza de Catalunya, right at the top of Las Ramblas. The receptionists were very friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Although the rooms are well equipped, they are quite small and are not the highest quality. Overall, the hotel is convenient but a little pricey for what is, bascially, basic accomodation.

Spent two nights in this hotel. Staff on reception helpfull, hotel was very clean and location excellent but could be a little noisy at an evening when sleeping as we had a room on the front of hotel which I must add had a fab view of the ramblas and the square.

Brief visitWell situated close to Old city, Dos Ramblas, metro and Catalunya railway station. Small but suited me well. Staff friendly and helpful. Chose not to have 5 euro breakfast as it had poor choice.

Good location quite central. Disappointed with cleanliness of hotel and lift was broken so had to carry luggage four floors with no offer of help. Wouldn't advise.

This hotel is very central indeed, right at the heart of Pza Cataluna and the famous Rambla. The location is, without a doubt, the highlight and it will be perfect if you just want to use the room to crash for a few hours at night and to drop your shopping during the day (the hotel is right in front the TRIANGLE shopping centre, with major shops including Habitat and FNAC and also very close to El Corte Ingles). However, if you are looking for a place to rest and spend time in your room go somewhere else. The rooms facing the square will be very noisy .My room was at the back, with no view and only a small window facing the interior patio. It was quite dark and very, very small. I had no shampoo in the bathroom (although they did give me a small bottle when I asked for it) and the very basic bedside table was dusty. Bedding was clean but there was an old map of Barcelona under the bed, which suggest that the room had not been hoovered since the previous guests left. My room was on the 3rd floor and the ancient lift broke down 3 times during my 2-day stay, so this hotel might not be suitable for people who have mobility issues.

Teeny weeny room but decent bathroom, central location and decent price... not the friendliest of front of house staff!

The location of the hotel is excellent right on the corner where the airport buses, tourist buses and metro stop. It is also at the top of La Rambla and within easy walking distance of the two major Gaudi buildings and the MACBA. The staff were very helpful and friendly but we were a little disappointed to be stuck in an interior room with only a small window onto the inner service courtyard - the upside was very little noise at night from a busy city centre. I would certainly use this hotel again as it offers excellent value for money and an ideal location.

Location of the hotel was FANTASTIC, right at the start of Las Ramblas. Room and hotel was average. Bathroom was tiny.Overall tidy but rooms could do with a revamp.

The hotel is conveniently located at the heart of the touristic aera (top of Las Ramblas). However expect high noise level in all rooms overlooking the Plaza Catalunya. Also overall the hotel is a little run down (such as plumbing).

Excellent location. My room was small but clean. bathroom was good size, clean and the shower had excellent pressure considering I was on the fourth floor. View was rubbish but I was at the back of the hotel; however it was very quiet even though the hotel was on top of the Ramblas, and the room remained cool. Slept perfectly - just what I needed.
