When we booked the room, we were under the impression that Breakfast was included in the price. Which would be normal, for a hotel. But it was not the case, it cost 7,50 extra. So we had some wonderful breakfast neer la Rambla. But other than that: very nice stay.

The location of the hotel is excellent right on the corner where the airport buses, tourist buses and metro stop. It is also at the top of La Rambla and within easy walking distance of the two major Gaudi buildings and the MACBA. The staff were very helpful and friendly but we were a little disappointed to be stuck in an interior room with only a small window onto the inner service courtyard - the upside was very little noise at night from a busy city centre. I would certainly use the Hotel Medium Monegal Barcelona again as it offers excellent value for money and an ideal location.

The location of the Hotel could not be better and the receptionist where very friendly. Although a bit noisy it is value for money. It is our second time that we booked with venere.com and we are very satisfied. SB

The hotel is conveniently located at the heart of the touristic aera (top of Las Ramblas). However expect high noise level in all rooms overlooking the Plaza Catalunya. Also overall the hotel is a little run down (such as plumbing).

Room was quite small, but double bed was a bonus. Location was 10 stars plus. Overall, ideal for a four day break.

Excellent location. My room was small but clean. bathroom was good size, clean and the shower had excellent pressure considering I was on the fourth floor. View was rubbish but I was at the back of the hotel; however it was very quiet even though the hotel was on top of the Ramblas, and the room remained cool. Slept perfectly - just what I needed.

excellent location directly on placa catalunya and la rambla. elevator did'nt work in the evening (engineer tried to repair) and morning (engineer trying again) staires from second floor proved very difficult with my 75 year old mother. However would definately recommend the hotel if the elevator was guaranteed to be operational.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Medium Monegal Barcelona. The bathroom was newly renovated and clinically clean! This made my stay more comfortable. The room was overlooking the plaza Catalunya which is the perfect spot to be for a short trip to Barcelona. The bed was very comfortable and big enough. The high ceiling made for more spaciousness. I enjoyed this room (320) because of it's semi round shape. The only drawback that i can mention was the loudness of the plaza at night. It is extremely loud, and i am not sensitive to noise usually. Overall, i will stay here again next time i am Barcelona because the location can't be beat! The staff was generous and pleasant. Generally, a GREAT stay, for a low price.

Great location. Essentially on Las Ramblas at the Pl Catalunya metro stop. I would rate it a 1 star hotel, but it is clean and liveable. Again, you can not beat the location.

The rooms were essential but good, the only one on our four country trip that did not have a hair dryer in the room. But their electrical system supported my 1600 watt travel dryer. The rooms were noisy but it was fun to be able to look out at the plaza and people watch and listen to live music. The hotel was in a waonderful location. There was always something going on well into the night right there. Accessing the hotel desk and elevator was sometimes a problem as one arrives there walking through a watch shop. There is not much space and it seemed like there were always people crowded around.

The beauty of the hotel is its location. That's it and that's all. My room was tiny, barely enough space to walk around the bed (which was a decent size). No windows, very noisy - but not from the outside noise, but inside one. One has to sleep with earplugs or not sleep at all. I don't know whose idea it was to play music throughout the hotel, but it was loud enough to be disturbing. Room was clean initially, but wasn't thoroughly done during the stay - some trash left, no soap or shampoo left. No hairdrier either. The room cost is based solely on location, which is great - right in the center of the city. However, it was marked on the map incorrectly, and overall the hotel's sign is hard to find. Not a good price/service value.

Excellent located. The lift was quite old. Room was ok as well as the bathroom. Quite remarkable: they charged my credit card by six in the afternoon before we arrived which I find is a little bit too early
