A Best Western Hotel in disguiseTrying to avoid Best Western I was very disappointed when arriving at the Malte Opera as this was not displayed on the Laterooms booking system, however, as with former experiences with Best Western the rooms were small and bathrooms tiny and non of the rooms came close to what was displayed at the internett.

The agent checked me into a loft so I had 3 beds, 2 full bathrooms, upstair and downstairs. It was amazing. Great Location, friendly staff. I was upgraded to a loft so Im not sure what the standard rooms look like, but the upgrade really enhanced my experience in Paris.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel, I must mention that the hotel does not have dining amenities, only breakfast buffet. The hard-boiled eggs were not fresh as they had that familiar grey look to the yolk. It is very close to the Louvre museum, aboout 3 blocks. The rooms do not have god views of th city, but if you're there to just sleep and go out sightseeing...

Decor. As with most euro hotels the room is small, little storage space, lack of shower curtain. Public space decor was nice and not boring. Room was expectedly small and shower curtain expectedly absent. Staff spoke English and were quite helpful. Excellent Boulangerie (bakery), claiming to be the oldest in Paris, steps from the hotel. Near two Metro stops and blocks away from Louvre.

Off the beaten path but close enough for sightseeing. No clocks radios in room. Must go to front desk to get an iron and board. No tray for food when room service is ordered.

Be sure to get a no-smoking room and it's a pleasure. Good furniture in the rooms, immaculate bathroom (albeit with customary small French bath!). Not huge rooms, but liveable size. Hotel staff weren't the warmest, but obliged with everything asked. Central location is less than 10 mins walk from the Louvre, making Paris easily accessible by foot. A good place to stay for exploring the city, but not if you plan to spend much time in the hotel itself. Ignore the 15 euros per person breakfast - get it at half the price in the cafe round the corner.

Excellent location - right near the Lovre but not in a busy tourist area. Easy to find and close to 3 mtero stations. Excellent value for money - tiny rooms but not a problem when you are in Paris!!

Staff & management excellent. Good location, easy to find, within walking distance of Louver & Opera. Expensive, but still cheapest 3-4 star located. I may have paid on, then my VISA was also charged at hotel Clean, but undergoing renovations on one side of hotel. Staff and management excellent; speak English, pleasant and very helpful and accommodating. Decent breakfast and breakfast area. Sheets and towels clean, ample supply of hot water, tub for those who want a bath rather than a shower. Probably a 3+ Star using U.S. system. Only downside is smoking is person-dependent (like elsewhere in Paris, people smoke tobacco where they wish).

A good service in terms of site/access/replies etc.. However I asked in another 3 star Best Western hotel not so far away and over the counter got a much better offer than what i paid.139 euros for room plus 28 for breakfast (for 2).Was offered 130 euros INCLUDING breakfast from other hotel, same chain same class.My worry....is it the best price?

The location was convenient. The entire hotel was under renovation. Boy, was I disappointed when I arrived and found the entire hotel under construction, lobby torn apart, narrow hallways being painted (thanks for the paint on my suitcase, by the way), complete with hammering noise and chatty workmen at 8 am. I was planning a romantic weekend in Paris with my boyfriend (whom I had not seen in a while) and instead I got a noisy, dirty hotel with plaster falling from the walls and an apology-free management staff.

Hotel is in a good location, within easy walking distance to The Louvre. Room was quite small, but clean and comfortable and very quiet. Staff friendly. Overall good impression, but quite expensive for what it is. I would though recommend this hotel primarily for its location.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent central location. Got an upgrade to a duplex room that was massive. Didn't try the breakfast so can't comment on the food. Have already recommended the hotel to a friend, and will definately stay here again when next in Paris.

We booked this hotel at lateroom rate of £86 for double room which we thought was good value for centre of paris. Staff were very friendly and can speak English.Location was excellent with Louvre only 10 mins walk. We avoided the breakfast at 14 euros and breakfasted at cafes instead for half that price. Courtesy tray available at reception so you can have tea/coffee in bedrrom. Would definitely reccomend this hotel.

Stylish, contemporary hotel. Bedrooms small but adequate. Very convenient for Metro, Louvre, Seine and Boulevarde Haussemann shopping. Breakfast not very imaginative, but adequate. Staff very helpful and friendly.Quiet location [opposite National Library] but central.Very relaxing place to stay.
