Enjoyable early summer break in ParisWe had stayed at a couple of other hotels in Paris prior to moving to the Lotti. These hotels were considerably less well equiped and less well positioned within the city to make maximum benefit of the city. However their prices were only 2/3rds of the price at the Lotti.The accommodation, both in the room and the communal areas was of a high standard. This included beautiful flowers in the bar area. The reception and concierge staff were extremely helpful and efficient. I had bought a camera in Paris and it stopped working after one day. The staff at the hotel helped me to replace the camera. They were also very helpful to my partner in finding her a beauty saloon which was of a very high quality and provided first class service. I was a little disappointed with the restaurant, which I felt had a limited menu and choice of drinks. In addition for this hotel the breakfast room was poor and had a more down market feel - so much so that we choose to have breakfast as room service. This service was very good, even though on the second day they had to come back a second time with items that had been missed from the original order.A very enjoyable hotel and one I would recommend.

This hotel would have received high ratings if we did not have a problem with the draperies in the room. Not only was it impossible to sleep with the east light filling the room but when we requested a simple fix (a chord to hold back the drapes against the angled wall) we were told that no one had ever had such a problem. The haughty response from the person at the reception desk was irritating. After returning and finding no fix in the room we called the engineer who agreed with us that the fix was simple and that he understood the request. He left, giving us the impression that he would return with something. He did not return. Obviously, we made the adjustment with things at hand. (Thank goodness the phone cords were long.) The significant issue was the response to the problem, not the problem itself. The service from the other parts of the staff was very good.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Jolly Hotel Lotti Dec. 22-29, 2008 and would definitely stay there again. Its location on the Rue De Castiglione is in a prime area between the Westin and the Ritz hotels. Our (standard) room was larger than expected and the bathroom was huge with every expected amenity, and some unexpected ones (e.g., heated towel racks). Our room on the 6th floor was quiet, warm and cozy. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service. The restaurant was closed during the week of our stay, so I cannot comment on that. We declined the hotel breakfast - available to us on a discounted rate of 15 euros per person per day (normally priced at 27 euros per person) - and opted instead to eat at the many boulangeries, cafes, bistros in the area. This hotel is a short walk to the Tuileries Gardens and the Louvre in one direction and to the Place Vendome in the other direction. If you enjoy walking, the Place de la Concorde, Champs Elysees and Musee D'Orsay are within reasonable (a mile or less) walking distance. The Tuileries Metro stop is a half block from the hotel, if you would rather ride to your destination. This is a wonderful little hotel in a perfect Paris location. Seing the City of Light all dressed up in holiday lights made for a very memorable Christmas week.

Hotel LottiThe hotel is ideally situated near to Place de le Concorde and Champs Elleysees. The staff were very friendly (as we found with everyone we met in Paris) and most were able to speak English, although I think they admired our attempts to speak some French. We had a standard room which had a balcony overlooking the main street. The room was very clean and tidy, although coffee making facilities would have been nice. The hotel's restaurant had excellent food, as did the Westin Hotel restaurant, which was next door to this hotel. The hotel is situated in a very exclusive area of Paris surrounded by chocolate and designer shops to look around. Bars and restaurant were all around Paris, although it is very expensive. If you take enough spending money not to ending up worrying too much about the expense, then Paris will give you everything you want. We had a magical experience and this hotel puts you right in the heart of where you want to be. I personally enjoyed Paris more than a similar break in Rome.

Great location! The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially those at the concierge desk and at the door. Our family had one standard and one deluxe room. The standard room was small but quite satisfactory. The deluxe room was large and clean, but could use some updating/redecorating. The price was quite acceptable considering the location. There were workers in the hall painting and upgrading the carpets, so we assumed ours must have been one of the older rooms, but considering the rate, it was satisfactory. Minor complaints: Beds and pillows weren't very comfortable, and the shower isn't the greatest. The lobby/bar area furniture has seen better days.

Fantastic location. 1/2 block from Jardin des Tuileries, very short walk to Musee du Louvre. A great shopping street 1/2 block away for food, drink and clothes, Rue St.-Honoré. We were treated extremely well by the staff. Concierge *** is a prince. He booked us for a show one night and dinner At LeJules Verne in the Eiffle Tower another night. We made two or three changes back and forth and he more than took it all instride. He really wanted us to have a good time in Pairis. The front desk attendent let us use the computer in the business office to check our email, something she did not have to do. Door men cheerful and friendly. Bartender, a very sweet French lady, gave us a bucket of ice and wine glasses for use in our room on two seperate occassions. Maybe we were lucky to be there at a not-busy time, but I cannot say enough about the friendlyness and hospitality of the French!

Fantastic central location within walking distance to the Louvre and a vast array of shops, galleries and tourist attractions.Staff were extremely helpful, with good suggestions for local eateries, cultural activities and "what to do" in Paris.Booking through late-rooms meant that this luxurious experience was really affordable. Good value for money.Room was nicely finished and very clean, try the Tiramisiu with Room Service, Will definitely go back and really reccommend it.

It is definitely not what it once (80's) was but price reflects the negatives as in today's dollars it is less expensive than what I paid as a senior bank executive in the 80's. Not too many bulbs worked in the room, phone was cranky at best, TV is a computer with a couple of English channels only, carpeting getting old. So what is good about it beyond the price? For those who love and know Paris this is prime time district. 500 yards from the Louvre, Place Vandome, half a mile from the Champs Elysees and so on. The hotel has kept its classic and classy attributes. It can still make you dream of what life was like in the 18th century in Paris. A great experience for my wife who had never been there. The receptionist was very good and spoke at least 4 languages. I would definitely encourage anyone to try it as long as bothersome details don't bother you too much.

I can't say enough great things about this hotel. Service was lovely... at the concierge desk, at breakfast, in the bar. The rooms were big and spacious. Had a great king size bed - extra pillows and blankets. Huge bathroom and separate toilet area. Internet access offered in the room and in the lobby. The location could absolutely not be any better! Within mins. of the Louvre, Tuiliere Gardens, Orsay museum. There's a taxi stand directly infront of the hotel to whisk you away to anywhere - but really you can walk just about anywhere from here! I read other reviews about the breakfast - it is very expensive. But it was nice to have - the food was good and service was very prompt. But you are better off walking a couple blocks and hitting a cafe - we did both and were equally happy. Really the only bad thing is the price - but the location, beautiful lobby, nice room does come at a price. If you can swing it- it's worth it. We left feeling like we were not ripped off or overpaid... it's just plain expensive in this city and with the Euro - it is high but it's to be expected.

Great location for sightseeing in Paris. Lots of cafes and bistros nearby. Nice boutiques as well. The hotel is decorated very nicely, and our room was spacious and comfortable.

we went for spring break april 2008. the hotel was very clean and staff very helpful, we could walk to most place's, the taxie from hotel to airport was 65 euro's. 50 for us and 15 for out suitcase( that was a first for me) there is so much to see just remember to wear a GOOD pair of shoes, not the best food at hotel but Cafe Marly for lunch is a must. its outside the Museum De Louvre also to remember the Louvre is closed every Tuesday, and you can walk from hotel to it.... bring a raincost if you go in April... Have fun we did...

When we stayed at the Lotti two years ago it was really lovely. We have recommended it to others and were looking forward to another stay. Since we were bringing my partner's mother and sister to Paris, their first trip, we thought it would be perfect: lovely hotel in terrific location. Overall, though, we were disappointed. When we arrived there were signs that the hotel had no hot water for the day (until 6:30pm). After flying from the U.S. we normally shower and freshen up - there was to be one of that. Our room was kind of blah, not the charming room we had overlooking the Rue de Castiglione that we had last time. I asked if we could change and we were told no, there was no availability because the hotel is 1/2 closed due to the start of refurbishment work. All I could think was, for the same price I could have stayed next door at the Westin, or at the St. James & Albany, Hotel Lutetia, Hotel Louvre, etc... and not have to be part of someone's refurb. In other words, it is not like anyone mentioned that they were starting on a two year project and/or that we got a discounted rate for enduring it. On the plus side, the front desk and concierge people were generally very nice and helpful. The concierge made us a number of dining reservations. The only downside though was that one recommendation was pretty bad, another restaurant informed us when we got there that they did not take reservations (?!) and a third was not even open at the time the concierge told us he had made a reservation. Strange. But two of his recommendations were excellent and he was always very friendly and helpful with our questions, etc... The service to the room was not so great either. We found a previous guest's lace lingerie on one of the shelves for clothing, and two rotting apples on another. Made me wonder how thorough a cleaning job had been done. We never received the correct items to make coffee in-room until the last day, after asking them to please make sure this was done at the f

We've traveled to many places and stayed at many fine hotels, but the Jolly Hotel Lotti was definitely one of the best experiences ever, This may sound unbelievable but I cannot think of one negative point. The location is, of course, its best aspect, a few blocks from the Louvre and right across from the Tulieries Gardens. The concierge desk is located right inside the door of the very lovely European lobby and there were friendly, English-speaking personnel to help out all day and evening. The hotel is immaculate. Our room was in a new wing with lovely furnishings, modern marble bath, and lovely hardwood floors. We had free internet access for our laptop which was fun so that we could send daily pictures home to the family. We ate a few breakfasts and one dinner in the hotel restaurant and everything weas delicious. The employees throughout the hotel are very friendly and courteous. Don't hesitate to choose this hotel. It's lovely.

Paris hotels are expensive and The Lotti is no exception! However, in this case you are paying for the location. A stones throw from the Ritz and probably on a par. Less than five minutes walk to the Louvre, the Seine, the Arc d'Triomphe etc. Our Junior Suite was rated at 1250 Euro per night without breakfast (!) but we paid 460 Euros per night via Late Rooms.com and no complaint. We didn't eat in the hotel but the consierge was very helpful getting us a booking at an exclusive resturant with a terrace overlooking the Eifel Tower for our 17th Wedding Anniversary Dinner. He also directed us to a very good breakfast cafe. I looked at many hotels advertising 300-500 Euros per night but their location and rooms were nowhere near that offered at The Lotti. If you can afford the location then it is well worth the expense. Perfect as a central base for a week-end in the City.
