In all fairness, I was not able to give this hotel a completely fair shake. I only spent about five hours there. Located in a neighbourhood of questionable safety, (the concierge told us it was not safe to walk around at night) the hotel is in the midst of a several year renovation. At present their restaurant is incomplete. However, the decor is well chosen, and one can see a bright future. Try back in a year or two when it is complete. The room was a reasonable size, but did not have a window to the outside. The shampoos in the room were used and one of the pillows reeked of stale sweat. Perhaps when the hotel is complete all of the details will be adequately taken care of.

I stayed at this hotel for over a month. The staff is excelent, the rooms are clean and well maintained. Every morning there is a complimentory breakfast that is fantastic. Walking distance to everything San Jose has to offer. Overall one of the best deals in San Jose, Costa Rica"

i was welcomed warmly upon my arrival as is the case with all people ive encountered in san jose. the hotel in general was impecable, warm and felt like i was at home. the whole hotel looked and felt as though was recently renovated, a good investment was put in to the asthetics. my room was comfortable and bed was amazingly comfortable, due to it being a real tempurpedic mattress. i slept so good i was having trouble waking in the morning. super job guys

this hotel is in a good location to downtown. it has an excellent staff of english speaking people that are ready to help you. breakfast is excellent that goes with the room. gets you off to a good day start.

Hotel is clean and the staff is excellent. No pool or exercise facilities, but internet is available. Rooms clean and beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is great and you can special order if you get in good with the cook. Walking distance to downtown and restaurants. Careful after dark, but in San Jose that is the norm.
