SW 0508 Unattractive high rise 70's brown building. The building is one of the highest in the city with excellent views from the upper floors. Located in central Bratislava. Excellent location for shopping and local sightseeing.

The restaurant is located on the ground floor and is large and spacious. The decor is dark. However, natural light makes it more attractive for the guests but like the rest of the hotel it is in need of renovation.

wasn't expecting much given the reviews here but i thought it was fantastic, especially considering it's the cheapest hotel in bratislava. Only a couple of minutes walk from the old town, and i was lucky enough to have a 14th floor room with an amazing view of the castle (although i guess that's the luck of the draw). The staff were all very helpful and spoke excellent english. Buffet breakfast was enormous and had just about everything. It's great for a mid-week trip to bratislava, although does get a little ferral when the hordes of stag-parties arrive from england for the weekend.

A step back in time to the 70s. Not really bad, but not much have changed here since some time 30 years ago. The room had wall-to-wall carpets that have collected decades of dust and dirt. The view of the old town would have been nice, if it wasn't for the advertisement banner for Nokia covering the whole facade, shutting us in and making the room dark and the air stuffy. (We lived apparently behind the "O".) If I ever were to go to Bratislava again, I would have stayed in another hotel. Regardless of the price.

Very old/bad hotel, good only for position.

The hotel is located right in the center of the city. And i mean that. But it is an old communist hotel, very good for it's age. The rooms are standard, but the furniture and the bath are really old. If it was ever renewed, it does not show that. The reception desk had a computer problem and the man in charge was very impolite to say the least. The breakfast was ok, with a lot of choices. Overall, a good choice to stay in the center of the city with a fair price. But don't expect too much.
