A breakfast buffet is prepared each morning in the charming restaurant, and lunch and dinner can be ordered a la carte. The hotel also has its own bar, and barbecues are often held in the mountain house in the extensive gardens. The Hotel Karłow is surrounded by the natural beauty of Park Narodowy Gor Stołowych, usually translated into English as the Table Mountains National Park. This protected area around the mountain called Szczeliniec Wielki (Great Szczeliniec) is known for its interesting rock formations, which have been named for their resemblance to people and animals: Wielbład (Camel), Mamut (Mammoth), Małpa (Monkey), and so forth. Trails lead to these Mad Rocks (Błedne Skały) as well as to deep gorges and rock corridors. Karłow is on the Walls International Bike Route (Miedzynarodowa Trasa Rowerowa Sciany) and the Gory Stołowe International Bike Route (Miedzynarodowa Trasa Rowerowa Gory Stołowe). Some 50 km/31 miles of cross-country ski trails are kept groomed in the winter. The Hotel Karłow is approx. 11 km/6.8 miles from the spa town of Kudowa-Zdroj.
