RecommendedBetter than anticipated, 15 minute straight walk from the centre and I think close to a tram stop although we didn't use this. Street was a little noisy in the morning, but other than that it was great and I would stay here again.

The 'eurozone' is now so expensive that finding anything remotely respectable under, say, 60 euros a night ,single, is a pleasure. This hotel is in a quiet location, but a minute's walk from all sots of trams that will take you wherever you want to go within 10-15 minutes. The public rooms are pleasantly furnished; the bedrooms, well, adequate (very steep stairs might deter some) . If all you want is somewhere to lay your head at the end of a long day it's just fine.

Room was clean but small, just about ok for one person on a short business trip or city break.Good value for money and hotel staff were very friendly. Position in Amsterdam was excellent with sights and places of interest a short tram stop or walk away.

Really nice staff, quite area - but about 5 minutes walk from the main nightlife - excellent service in the hotel and very clean - oh - and the bed was damned comfy too - just what you need after Sensation White 08!

Hotel was fine, the ground floor reception/breakfast area and garden was really nice, and location not too bad, although a bit out of the centre. The room however let it down as it was small and could have done with some paint!

The evening receptionist was one of the most helpful and friendly I have ever encountered. The single bedroom I stayed in was very basic but for 65 euro Bed & Breakfast it was good value for money .It is also very central which was a big plus.

Good value for the price; very bare-bones, but clean and quiet. Not the place for a romantic stay or for those looking for luxury, but more than adequate for the younger adventure traveler. I found the service to be good and the people to be friendly; the rooms are small but the floor toilet is shared by only 4 rooms. In my case it was right by my room and hardly ever seemed to be in use. The only challenging part of staying at this hotel are those very small, steep Amsterdam stairways that would be a problem for anyone with balance or fitness problems. Overall I was quite satisfied and would definitely stay here again.

Not the best experience. Having booked a en suite room for four nights, we were shown a room which was both smelly and didnt have an en suite facilities. The staff claimed that no other room was available but when I threatened to cancel, an alternative room with en suite facilities was conveniently found. The problem with Laterooms is that you feel compelled to stay in the hotel that youve booked since you have accepted the hotel's cancellation policy (i.e they can charge you if you cancel the room within ten days). Also, there was a surprise notification upon arrival that an extra 5% is charged if you pay your bill with a credit card. Otherwise, the location of the hotel is pleasant and the breakfast is acceptable. I definitely expected more value and higher quality for my money.

Very happy with the room and the hosts but a bit far from central for my liking. It is extremely close to a tram station though so it isn't a big deal. It took ten minutes to work to Rookies / Bulldog but an extra 15-20 to get nearer Dam square.

Great location, unfortunately the staff are very unfriendly, they stuggle to say hello let alone any kind of friendly banter one would expect in a European hotel.

The hotel was more like a bed and breakfast than hotel, with very small bedrooms. I think the stairs were a bit dangerous as they were so steep (but that seems normal in amsterdam!) and the shower was part of the room with no door to seperate the sleeping area which is a little akward for male/female friends! The breakfast buffet was basic and not much variety-nevertheless it was nice. The staff had most of our rooms ready even though we were a few hours early and were pleasant and helful. All in all it was fair for the money and not a bad location, however i would suggest that young people find somewhere closer to the action (dam square and the red light district).
