Since opening in 1889, the Jerome Bar or J-Bar, as it is locally known, has been Aspen's favorite watering hole. Maintaining its original 19th century style, the J-Bar interior exudes the same Western saloon flare it had when silver miners bellied up to the bar to celebrate their good fortune. Today, Hollywood stars celebrate fortune of another kind as they mingle with Aspen locals and visitors for good times and good drink. The J-Bar features signature cocktails, an assortment of domestic and imported beers, plus a full bar of premium liquors. Bottled water, soft drinks, juices, coffee, tea and espresso drinks are also available.

The Jerome is a pleasure. The Jerome has beautiful details and classic Victorian style. The rooms are large and comfy and I love the jacuzzi tubs. All the modern conveneinces are in place, but the classic charm makes this the kind of place that has a comfortable welcoming vibe. I love staying here. Also the staff has always been very helpful.

The Jerome was the fanciest hotel I've ever stayed in, absolutely stunning. The new section of the building was built to match verbatim the original hotel, so you didn't have the feeling of moving from the historic building into some crappy annex, it was just beautiful throughout. I thought the price very reasonable as well for the level of fabulousness.

Great hotel with great service! I am a vail resorts employee and got a huge discount (The Mountain was closed, but Highlands was open) and they still treated us great! Large bathrooms with Molton Brown Tolietires. Ski valet and storage Valet Parking. Never ate at J bar but had drinks there. Loved the pool and hot tub. Concierge was great. Walking distance to everything. Definentaly will go back soon!

The Hotel Jerome had an extremely courteous, knowledgeable, helpful staff. Their dining recommendations were superb. The room was exceptionally well appointed, quite spacious, and comfortable and we throughly relaxed while there. The reception via the wireless internet connection in the room was excellent with satisfactory speed. I would recommend the hotel to any traveler.

The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, mornings were well-spent around the fireplace reading the many papers complimentary to the guests (with Starbucks coffee-also free), then wherever you wanted to go in Aspen, the great staff would take you. Not that we really needed to go anywhere by car - the location is great, just a few blocks from the Gondola, a block to the best restaurants. Don't normally write reviews but the staff went above and beyond! Thanks to them all!

We stayed in room 116 and every morning we were awoken at 0615 by the sound of the linen service raising and lowering the lift gate on the service truck to load linen carts. We were also there when some organization was having a conference and our room was right beside the main meeting space...loud, loud. loud. The hotel decor reminded us of "The Shining. We even took a picture to show our family and friends. The loby carpets and walls seemed dingy and dirty. We rated to pool "bad" because we would have had to go through the outdoor dining area to get to it! It is really stuffy and old and has a dark and depressing feel. We think this hotal rates nowhere close to the four stars it holds.

Located right downtown you can walk to everything which is important in Aspen because parking can be at a premium. Beds are wonderfully soft and the rooms are decorated the in old Victorian style. The hotel staff was awesome. The staff was probably the best I have encountered, and I have stayed at hotels all over the world. Very down-to-earth and accommodating, with helpful advice on eateries and hiking in the area.
