Nice Clean personable hotel with shopping centre car park facilities literally over the road.Friendly polite service and acceptable but basic continental breakfast. Clean throughout and situated on central thoroughfare with shopping centre, pleasant views and a number of restaurants and cafes.

great postion in Calaisthis hotel was an ideal late stop point when coming over from UK to France by Eurotunnel. especially if you ahve children, who need to sleep. easy to find. close to lots of shoppping and banks if required to. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful. great value for money at 78 euros for a triple/family room

Poor, cold, dirty. The room was basic, not even a litter bin.No hot water in the evening, dirty shower. One hard-back chair .Little better than a Travellodge room.Double glazing virtually non-existant.making for draughts and noise.Redeemed by having a very good continental breakfast, and having an association with the Mirador restaurant nearby which was excellent, and gave a discount of 5%

The hotel was lovely, a lot more than I expected for a 2 star. As soon as we walked in we got a friendly service with help getting directions on where to go for food ect as we were late checking in and needed advice! The room was spacious with views over looking the main street which was lovely. The beds were extremely comfy and room very clean. I would stay there again and recommend the hotel to any of my friends visiting Calais

Having read some reviews I was a bit apprehensive but it had a twin room available at a good price which suited myself and my son. Reviews of bread at breakfast being stale were untrue and we enjoyed our brief stay. It was central and my car was secure as it was parked in the shopping complex car park opposite which was locked overnight although we had to pay. I felt safe walking through the main streets of the town in the evening. It did what it said on the can as they say.

Reception was a total mess, cardboard boxes piled up in the corner and it took an eternity to check in. Room was non-smoking but still had ancient smell of tobacco in there. Bathrooms was very clean and new. Given it's price, it's probably pretty reasonable, but certainly not the nicest place, but then again nor is Calais!

The Hotel Jacquard was easy to find - centrally located and just a few minutes drive from the port. The hotel staff were really friendly and courteous (and surprisingly understood my school French!) On arrival, they recommended we unload outside and park in the nearby car park but we decided to stay parked directly outside and it was absolutely fine. The room was on the third floor and was clean and comfortable and everything was in good working order. We slept very well, although late sleepers might be disturbed by the dawn chorus from the seagulls! (but this was probably only apparent because we had the windows open as it was such a warm summer night). The breakfast was included in the price and was the usual continental affair of croissants, bread, cheese, cold meats, cereal, yogurts, fruit juice and coffee etc. Perfectly sufficient for our needs. I would definitely stay there again and take the opportunity to explore Calais!

There was no tea making facilities in the room, the coffee that came out of the machine at breakfast was disgusting and we had no hot water in the room for a shower (although I complained the night before and they said it was fixed) so not impressed.

Very friendly and helpful staff. As the night was so hot it would have been good to have a window open but too noisy outside.

The hotel was central to the main street in Calais. It was easy to find. Parking was not a problem as we arrived after 6pm on a Saturday and left before 12 on the Sunday. The staff where very friendly and spoke good english. The rooms are basic but clean. The bathroom was newly refitted with a large shower but no bath. It was ideal for a one night stay.

For a hotel in the centre of the town for the price, this is a fantastic place to stay. The young girl on reception could not have been more helpful and although there is no restuarant within the hotel there are plenty nearby. A continental breakfast was included in the €58 and was very very good. The hotel does not have its own car park but you can park in the street outside the entrance or there is secure parking in the shopping centre opposite which is covered by cameras and accessible 24/7

Very dissapointed. Once we eventually found the hotel it smelt of vomit in the lobby and all the way through to the lift. The room was more like staying in a youth hostel, although the sheets were clean. The shower room was also clean but there was no hot water and the towels would be fine if you are size zero! We didn't brave breakfast as we were keen to leave asap after a noisey nights sleep. If you don't have to stay in Calais I would recommend you don't, there is no French charm anywhere! Get your cheap booze and leave!
